The Serene Shores - Luxury Private Villa

Well maintained, great and courteous staff, they allow Swiggy food and groceries delivery which is a big plus and they did entertain our additional request which made our trip experience even better

Positive:1. The location is clean, quiet, and the infrastructure is good. Two spacious rooms with separate washrooms, ACs in both bedrooms, fancy mirrors, sitting space in the verandah, et al. Negatives:1. The property is significantly costlier than the others in the area. 2. It came up in the search for 6 people but the place is equipped for only 4. There are only two beds. Extra beds are chargeable additionally. Read the fine prints very carefully. 3. The living room doesn't have an AC. To use anything other than the bedrooms in the daytime is almost impossible unless you like sweating profusely. We had booked for family time in the large space but eventually all indoor time was spent in our respective bedrooms. 4. The hospitality is next to nothing. People are not warm or courteous. We were given cutlery that was used on day 1. There is no wash space for cutlery. We were to keep it out for the staff to pick. It was not returned promptly after washing. Chasing for spoons and plates and eating only using the available cutlery took away from the experience significantly. 5. Breakfast is absolutely lack lustre. Exactly the same everyday and was packed and sent to the room. Did not enjoy it. 6. The hotel had confirmed we could use their office for our bag storage on the day we were leaving. We'd asked and would have happily paid for a late checkout time. We were told that was not possible but they would keep our bags until it was time for our train. However, on the day of checkout we were told that since they didn't have any more bookings for the day, we could only leave the bags there for a significantly lesser time. We had to change plans and carry our bags along. It marred our entire day. 7. The location is really bad. It's closest to a fisheries beach. The beach is dirty, crowded, and stinks. Even the route to that beach isn't good. The hotel is in a remote corner. Coming back alone in the night can get scary. Stray dogs are plentiful in the area, too. Overall, other than the cleanliness of the villa itself, there was nothing worth the money they charged. My honest recommendation is to not book this place. In fact, there are way too many places which are open out there but aren't on Agoda. We may as well have gone there, seen properties and booked a villa on the spot. Literally, every 2nd building is a hotel. And a lot of them looked much much better than this place.

Overall the stay was good and experience was good...need to improve on cleanliness of washrooms and linen was stained with some old stains....the bad experience was bfast...to my surprise it was pathetic and my kids had to starve untill v went out and ate.

Overall, a very good experience at Serene Shores! The hotel is remarkably clean and the rooms are quite spacious. A special mention to the staff, who are very kind and attentive to every detail. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay.
