Ganeshan sir took good care of us

I am sharing this review for others like me who plan family vacations with high hopes. Three years ago, I was very impressed by the location, rooms, food, and hospitality. This time, I arranged a quiet two-night stay with my family, but I regret that choice and have apologized to them. The resort now focuses more on hosting large conferences, events, and multiple big groups simultaneously, which seems beyond their management capacity. It feels like a poor attempt to keep the large property sustainable. The peace and calm are gone, with groups of people everywhere. The staff numbers seem reduced and were quite confused, especially about dining options for family guests. All restaurants were busy serving various groups with buffet meals. We had to eat out twice because we couldn't get in. The buffet quality was worse than three years ago. Pool maintenance was also lacking. The guests were a mixed crowd depending on their sponsors. If I had been sponsored, I might not have minded, but since we paid a lot ourselves, it felt like being part of chaos and a spoiled vacation when all we wanted was peace and quiet. I understand big resorts host events, but there should be a limit on how many groups are hosted at once, or they should declare themselves as an event-only resort, which would also help the staff. When we raised concerns, the managers apologized politely and tried to assist. The issue is that working people like us get weekend leave with difficulty. We traveled all the way from Mumbai to spend the weekend at UDS, only to be very disappointed.

Our stay at Uday Samudra was outstanding! The rooms, service, and location were all top-notch. I want to give special thanks to Ganesan from the pool area. He was very kind, helpful, and attentive the entire time. My brother, who couldn’t swim, had a great time thanks to Ganesan’s patience, encouragement, and friendly manner. He helped him feel at ease and confident, going above and beyond to assist. Ganesan was always polite and respectful to everyone, and his positive attitude really made a difference. Staff like him make a hotel stay unforgettable. I hope management acknowledges and values his excellent work. Thanks, Ganesan, for making our visit even more memorable. You’re a true asset to the hotel! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ganesan, the pool man, is an excellent supervisor. Had the best experience.

Housekeeping services were good. Mr. Sandeep Kumar and Sawana did a great job.
