Wetzlar Resort

The atmosphere was fantastic—truly a 5-star feel during the opening period when a lot of investment was visible. Sadly, the quality has dropped since then. The hotel is now badly kept—more like a 2-star. Only one staff member was managing everything: reception, check-in, carrying bags to rooms, and setting up extra beds. Clearly not enough staff, and that person was quite impolite. Maintenance is a big issue. The pool was in terrible shape and not cleaned well. The water quality also seemed poor, which is worrying for hygiene (please be aware of risks like amoebic meningitis). All in all, a very unsatisfactory stay. I would not suggest this resort.

Enjoyed a pleasant staycation. Can opt for a one-time experience.

**Very Disappointing Experience at Wetzlar Resort**Our experience at Wetzlar Resort was extremely unpleasant and poorly managed. We booked a **day package** with a *maximum of 40 people*, and were clearly told the **exact count would be confirmed on the day**.The package was supposed to **start at 10:00 AM**, but there was **no welcome, no staff response, and not even a welcome drink** at that time. We were left waiting until **11:00 AM** just to get a drink, which is unacceptable.Despite arriving on time, **no rooms were ready at 10:00 AM**. To make matters worse, the **lift was not working**. We had booked **two rooms**’one on the ground floor and one on the first floor’yet guests were forced to use the stairs due to the broken lift. On top of that, the **bathroom pipe in the first-floor room was not working**, showing a complete lack of basic maintenance.The **ground floor had no air conditioning**, making it very uncomfortable, especially during the day.The most frustrating part was at the end of the day: **we were charged for 40 people**, even though we **clearly confirmed only 29 people in the morning**. This is highly unprofessional and feels like deliberate overcharging.Overall, this resort shows **poor service, bad management, lack of maintenance, and unfair billing practices**. Definitely **not worth the money** and **not recommended** to anyone expecting a smooth or professional experience.

Road wide enough for one car. Lift was not working, was understaffed. Ambiance is good, lot of spots for photoshoot. Food was better than average but not top notch. Service was good and compensated part of the staff shortage. Nice polite staff.
