Our stay at Aranya Villas, Udaipur was truly memorable.The official check-in time was 2 PM, but since my train reached Udaipur early morning and the property is only about 10 minutes from the railway station, we arrived much earlier. The staff kindly prepared our room and allowed us to check in at 10 AM without any extra charges, which was a very thoughtful gesture after a long journey.The property itself is beautiful and full of greenery. It’s hard to believe such a peaceful place exists within the city. There are dense trees, a large lawn to walk around, and you can even spot langoors, peacocks, ducks, and many birds inside the premises. It really feels like a calm natural retreat away from the city chaos. There’s also a big swimming pool, although I unfortunately didn’t get the chance to use it.The resort organizes Rajasthani cultural dance performances in the evening, which are complimentary for guests, and they also provide spa discount coupons. We happened to stay during Holi, and the resort arranged rain dance, colors, sweets, snacks, and thandai for guests which made the celebration even more special.The staff deserves special appreciation. They were attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Since we were traveling with our toddler, they even prepared a baby meal (khichdi) for free, and it tasted really good ’ our little one loved it.Another moment that stood out was during checkout. The official checkout time was 11 AM, but since our child was sleeping, they allowed us to stay in the room until 2:30 PM, which we truly appreciated.Location is another big advantage. Most tourist spots in Udaipur are just 10’15 minutes away by scooter, making it very convenient for sightseeing.The only small downside for me was the breakfast buffet, which had limited options. I expected a bit more variety, though the food itself tasted good.As a chai lover, I especially enjoyed their evening high tea, which was a lovely way to unwind after exploring the city.Overall, from check-in to checkout, the experience was warm, comfortable, and very well managed. I would definitely recommend Aranya Villas to anyone looking for a peaceful and nature-filled stay in Udaipur.

I had a very disappointing experience with the service at Aranya Vilas. Two staff members, Sangeeta and Vijeta, treated us quite poorly throughout our visit. Their behavior came across as rude and unwelcoming, and they seemed completely uninterested in assisting us. They rarely acknowledged our requests and often ignored us when we asked for basic things.What made the experience even more frustrating was the clear difference in how other guests were treated. At tables with foreign guests, there were multiple staff members attending to them constantly. In fact, I noticed around three servers at one such table, making sure they had everything they needed. Meanwhile, when we requested something, we had to wait for a long time or were simply overlooked.Hospitality should mean treating every guest with equal respect and attention. Unfortunately, that was not the case during our visit. The lack of professionalism, the dull and unfriendly attitude, and the apparent preference given to certain guests made the experience very unpleasant. I hope the management addresses this issue and ensures that all guests receive fair and courteous service in the future.

The food was absolutely delicious, with great variety and authentic flavors that added to the comfort of the stay. The property itself is beautiful, with a peaceful forest-like vibe and greenery all around. Being surrounded by so many trees gave it a refreshing, close-to-nature feeling. The natural pond on the premises was especially calming and made the atmosphere even more serene. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and completely noise-free, which made the stay even more relaxing. Everything felt thoughtfully maintained and perfectly blended with the natural surroundings. Overall, Aranya Vilas is an ideal getaway for anyone looking to unwind, enjoy nature, and experience excellent service. Highly recommended!
