The food is excellent, but the service is very poor.

We chose this place for a long weekend staycation. Originally, we booked the Aqua Foresta Room with a private pool, but due to some nearby construction, we asked to switch rooms. The staff was very kind and upgraded us to the Casablanca Room at no extra charge. The Casablanca Room was larger and had a snug attic sleeping space that could fit two more guests comfortably. It also included a private pool, which made our stay more enjoyable. The location is a major plus, nestled among beautiful mountains and greenery, offering a quiet break from city life. The rooms are about 100–200 meters from reception, giving good privacy but still easy access with a short walk. Within this area, there is a banquet hall with a large lawn suitable for weddings or corporate events. The property only serves vegetarian food at the Maricca restaurant behind reception. As non-vegetarians, we wished there were some non-veg choices. Some repair and maintenance work was happening during our visit, and a few pools seemed to need better care. I think enhancing cleanliness and maintenance, possibly by adding more housekeeping staff on busy weekends, would improve the experience. Overall, our stay was enjoyable. The staff were helpful and accommodating, the property is beautiful, and its closeness to Mumbai makes it a great spot for a relaxing weekend. I would recommend it, especially if you want a peaceful nature retreat.

I visited this resort with my family for an overnight weekend trip. To be honest, online videos often skip the downsides, so I'll share both positives and negatives. LOCATION: The resort is located in the Vasai-Virar area and covers a large expanse of land. STAFF: Check-in was easy with a welcome drink and polite staff. Special thanks to Mr. Rohit Desai (overall in-charge), who was very friendly and always ready to assist. ROOMS: We stayed in a Cabana Room featuring a double bed downstairs and an extra mattress on the mezzanine. The room was spacious and well-equipped, with a bathroom that had a separate shower, bathrobes, towels, a hairdryer, and toiletries. There were a few short power cuts, but service was quickly restored. The private pool was clean, well-kept, and a good size. DINING: MARICCA, the all-day dining restaurant next to reception, offers good pure-vegetarian food and has a bar. The staff were courteous, and we enjoyed both lunch and dinner (paid). The complimentary breakfast had a nice variety including poha, medu vada-sambar, missal pav, sheera, fruits, tea, and coffee. MOBILITY: One thing not highlighted online is the long walk from reception/restaurant to the rooms, which might be inconvenient for elderly or disabled guests, though wheelchair assistance and room service (a bit slow) are available. At night, some paths are poorly lit, making walking less comfortable and potentially unsafe. The property had only one buggy, which was not working. Overall, the resort is a bit expensive, but if you can manage these issues, it’s a good option for a family overnight stay near Mumbai. Keep these points in mind and enjoy your stay!

I strongly advise against staying at this resort: 1. I was given a room right at check-in, but within an hour, the electricity went out four times. Each time I called housekeeping, they were unhelpful and couldn't fix the issue. 2. I asked reception for another room, but they said none were available as all were occupied. 3. At around 3 PM, the power went out a fifth time, and they discovered the wiring was burnt and couldn't be repaired immediately. 4. We spent about 3.5 hours without electricity, and only at 6:15 PM did they let me move to a new room, which they had previously said was unavailable. 5. The new room had mosquitoes, cockroaches, lizards, and honey bees. 6. The private pool was very dirty; when I requested cleaning, they said the pool cleaner had left for the day and would clean it the next morning, which never happened. 7. After moving, they gave me the wrong key, and housekeeping told me to use their master key to enter my room. 8. When I reported this to reception, they promised a new key in 2 minutes, but after 20 minutes, I had to collect it myself as no one came to deliver it. 9. Complaints about housekeeping were ignored by reception. 10. They charged Rs 49 plus taxes for a water bottle that normally costs Rs 20. 11. When I complained, they dismissed it as a nominal charge. 12. Mr. Rohit, the receptionist and manager, made false promises throughout our stay. Do not trust him. PLEASE AVOID THIS RESORT; THE STAFF AND RECEPTION ARE THE WORST.
