I enjoyed my time at Bougainville Homestay. The place is tidy, tranquil, and set amidst lovely greenery, providing a soothing retreat. The hosts were kind and hospitable, creating a cozy and inviting environment. The rooms were cozy and kept in good condition. Although a few small enhancements could improve the stay, it was overall very pleasant. I would certainly suggest Bougainville Homestay to those seeking a peaceful and comfortable accommodation. 😊

We spent two nights here and had a wonderful time. The host and their family were very welcoming, kind, and supportive in every aspect. The breakfast featured local dishes that were very tasty — definitely one of the best parts of our visit. The room was impeccably clean the entire time. I highly recommend this accommodation!

Staying at Bougainvillea Homestay was one of the best choices we made before our 3-day visit to Munnar from April 21 to April 23, 2026. When we initially reached out about room rates, the owner, Aju, was courteous, direct, and transparent. We especially valued his honesty in telling us the rooms didn’t have air conditioning. Given Munnar’s generally cool climate most of the year, he assured us it would still be much cooler than Kerala’s southern districts. Since we wanted to escape Trivandrum’s heat and relax in a quieter setting, his straightforward and practical attitude gave us confidence to proceed with the trip. From the start, we felt good about the place. After a long 7-hour bus ride to Munnar, we were delayed and couldn’t arrive at the expected time. Aju’s wife, Ashley, kindly called to check our location and helped us find the right bus stop. Thanks to her timely assistance, we reached the homestay without much confusion or stress. Like many others have noted, the rooms were clean, well-kept, and had all the basic necessities for a comfortable stay. The calm environment around the property allowed us to truly relax away from daily life’s hustle. Another highlight was the free breakfast. The simple, freshly made home-cooked meals were comforting and wholesome, something we looked forward to both mornings. What impressed us most was the warm atmosphere created by Aju and Ashley. Talking with them never felt formal; it was like chatting with family members who genuinely cared about our comfort. They also recommended nearby places to visit and helped with travel advice, which was very useful since we weren’t familiar with the area. Overall, our experience at Bougainvillea Homestay was very pleasant. We would definitely suggest it to anyone seeking a peaceful, homely place to stay in Munnar away from crowds.
