Sereno Chikmagalur

The only word that comes to mind for this place is 'Wow'. We stayed in August as a group of four guys and booked what I believe was the suite room. The room was fantastic, very clean, and the bathroom was well kept. It's a bit off the main road, about 300-400 meters, nestled within a dense forest which really adds to the atmosphere with the sounds of insects and the fog surrounding the property. The food was tasty and felt homemade. Special thanks to Manibhadra and his team for being so helpful and attentive. While the property isn't cheap, it's definitely worth the cost. I highly recommend it to anyone who can afford it!

The rooms are acceptable but the washroom is very small. The food options are limited; although the hotel promotes local cuisine, there are barely any choices, even for breakfast, which is disappointing given the high nightly rate. The services do not justify the cost. Also, the coffee doesn't seem to be locally sourced. Communication with staff is poor, and there's no way to reach the owner or manager. Overall, it's not worth the price. Additionally, the soundproofing needs improvement. While guests have the right to privacy, others should not be disturbed by noise from neighboring rooms, especially since they are only separated by two locked doors. Nights are very quiet, making sounds more noticeable, and families with children are also staying here. This has been a very unpleasant experience. To make matters worse, there is no hot water in the washroom, and both the caretaker Peadeep and host Suhas do not answer calls.

I had a wonderful time at Sereno Barn. The atmosphere was fantastic. Pradeep and Mani responded quickly to every request.

We really enjoyed our time here! ❤️ The lovely atmosphere, comfortable rooms, tasty meals, and friendly service made everything wonderful. The location is stunning, situated in the midst of Chikmagalur's rich green scenery with endless natural views. The drone footage perfectly captures how the property is hidden within nature's charm! 😍✨ It's an ideal getaway to relax and appreciate Chikmagalur's tranquility. We will surely return! ❤️

Very scenic spot with a comfortable atmosphere. The caretaker (Mani) provided excellent service and deserves special recognition. I will come back again.
