Solo Traveller • Aug 2026I had a very disappointing experience at Chirooss Homestay. The property shown in the photos online is completely different from what we were given. The room was poorly maintained and unhygienic. The toilet seat was cracked and damaged, the bedsheets and towels were stained, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, and the furniture and doors were scratched and in poor condition.I immediately reported these issues to the hotel and Agoda and shared photographic evidence. Instead of taking responsibility or offering a reasonable solution, the hotel dismissed our concerns and refused to cooperate. Agoda also denied the refund despite having all the evidence.As a paying guest, I expected a clean, safe, and well-maintained room. Unfortunately, this property failed to provide even basic hygiene and customer service. I would strongly advise future travellers to inspect the room carefully before checking in and not rely solely on the photos shown online.I hope the management takes responsibility, improves the condition of the property, and treats customers with the respect they deserve.
