Brunton Boatyard - CGH Earth

Our initial stop in Kochi was Brunton Boatyard, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. We arrived at about 1:30 am after a long flight, and they greeted us warmly and enthusiastically. They even had a birthday cake ready, which was a nice touch. The whole hotel encourages guests to relax and enjoy the surroundings—watch the port come alive or sit by the pool and listen to the boats. Breakfast was exceptional—not your typical buffet but a carefully selected menu featuring both local and Western dishes, plus a pastry cart shaped like a ship to satisfy your carb cravings. The service at History Restaurant was perfect. Don't miss the first-class railway mutton shank! I also had an Ayurvedic massage during my stay, and the staff frequently checked to ensure the pressure was comfortable. Their service goes far beyond expectations. I strongly recommend Brunton for your stay in Fort Kochi.

Although many reviews commend the colonial charm and beautiful architecture of Brunton Boatyard, what really elevates this hotel to a world-class level is its exceptional, personalized service. They don't just provide luxury; they genuinely care for their guests in ways that are increasingly rare. My husband, a stroke survivor, was initially assigned a first-floor room as I requested, but the manager, Ms. Priya, thoughtfully placed us on the ground floor to ensure a lower bed height. When the accessible features in that room didn't fully meet our needs, the staff quickly acted. They checked availability, moved us to a second-floor room, and even brought in a lower guest bed to test comfort—doing everything necessary until my husband felt completely comfortable. The food and beverage team was equally outstanding. The breakfast staff was very attentive each morning, and I especially enjoyed the Mattancherry section with daily-changing local specialties. It gave me the chance to try many new Kerala and Kochi dishes! When I mentioned to the F&B Manager, Mr. Ashish, that a few dishes were not quite right, the culinary team took it personally and made sure to improve our experience for the rest of our stay. Chef Rohit even created a wonderful, light edamame, tomato, and cucumber salad for me, which my husband loved so much he ordered the same for dinner! At another meal in the History Restaurant, Chef Rohit came over to chat and shared a warm laugh with us about the fresh catch of the day. What truly distinguished them were the small acts of kindness. When we left for a one-night backwater cruise, I asked Ms. Priya to discard an opened bottle of red wine from our minibar, but she insisted on keeping it chilled for us and had it ready when we returned. The birthday celebration at breakfast and fresh flowers in the room that she arranged with her team were very touching. She also helped organize my birthday dinner at The Rice Boat at Taj Malabar, informing the staff so we were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. Along with complimentary morning yoga led by a senior teacher, an evening cruise, a guided history walk, and high tea, it was an unforgettable visit. Brunton Boatyard is a stunning and comfortable hotel, but it is the warm, sincere, and deeply caring staff that truly make it exceptional.

A truly remarkable stay in Kochi with breathtaking sea views that you can't get tired of! Being a CGH property, it deserves praise for the thoughtful planning of every detail.

An amazing hotel where every detail is managed perfectly. The breakfast and lunch were excellent. The pool includes jacuzzi features and is very clean and well kept. The views of Kochi harbour are unmatched. Also, the included sunset cruise is a wonderful 45-minute boat trip. The one-hour history walk covers the key parts of the heritage town.

Todo está perfecto, pero es necesario solicitar una habitación alejada del ferry, ya que el ruido entre las 22h y las 6h es muy fuerte. Aparte de eso, es un hotel maravilloso y muy bonito.
