Couple • India • Sep 2026This is the most filtiest area in all of South East Asia, smells like poop all the time. Dirty and Stinky streets and alleys.Not for couples!
This hotel ranks among the worst I've ever stayed at. The area around it is dirty, smelly, and unpleasant. Right across the street, about 10 feet away, there's a bar selling cheap liquor to locals and tourists, causing a lot of noise and disturbance late into the night, making it hard to sleep. It's not a safe place for couples or families, and I wouldn't suggest staying here. The ratings don't reflect the reality of the place. The room was extremely small, like a matchbox, and the door lock was inadequate. There is no kitchen or room service available, and food options nearby are poor and repetitive within an 800-meter radius. The so-called Fort Kochi is overly hyped; staying in Ernakulam would have been better. Our experience was very disappointing despite seeing some fishing activities, which were also dirty and unhygienic. Other parts of Kochi offer better accommodations. Overall, this hotel is not recommended, and I feel misled by the ratings on booking platforms.
