Castle View Haveli

A wonderful heritage experience with outstanding service! This homestay provides an authentic Rajasthani heritage atmosphere that's hard to find in most hotels. The rooms were charming, the food delicious, and the service top-notch. The hosts are fantastic and organize enjoyable activities. Its proximity to Mehrangarh Fort was an added advantage.

Giving this hotel a 3-star rating seems overly generous. The location and its surroundings are among the worst I've encountered, with waste and sewage present on the nearby road, which is awful. On the plus side, the rooms are decent, featuring furniture that might even be considered antique. There is no elevator, and in several spots, the staircases are quite narrow. The service is acceptable, though I was oddly charged for a bottle of water beyond their policy of two bottles per day. Many hotels have a view of the fort, so it's not something special to boast about.

1. The location is terrible, both the area around the building and the path from the main road to the hotel, which was littered with dog poop and guarded by aggressive dogs. 2. The area around the hotel can only be accessed by two-wheelers, not cars, which is risky since the path is narrow and fits only one vehicle at a time. I had to lift my scooter onto a house curb to let another rider pass. 3. The rooms are acceptable—old but comfortable. 4. They charged me for water bottles beyond two units per day. 5. Since every hotel has a view of the Fort, advertising "Hotel with Fort view" is not a unique selling point. 6. The staff is accommodating. 7. The ironing board is located in a shared area. 8. There's a cafe on the rooftop, and the tea is good.

Enjoyed a fantastic stay at Castle View Haveli in Jodhpur. The best part was the breathtaking, close-up sight of Mehrangarh Fort visible directly from the property. The haveli exudes charming heritage vibes and the staff were friendly and hospitable. An ideal spot to soak in the charm of the old city.

Don't miss trying the Poori Baaji. The staff are attentive, friendly, and eager to assist. The accommodations are comfortable and well-maintained, combining heritage charm with modern amenities. I strongly suggest this place for an authentic stay that offers great value.
