Worth the hike

The legendary verandah built by Captain Barr still creaks above the jungle like something from another century. No cars, barely any signal, monkeys watching from the trees, and at night only the sounds of the forest and distant thunder rolling through the hills.Remote, strange, beautiful and unforgettable. Just us drinking tea on a fading British verandah while the mist swallowed the forest around us. Extremely memorable. But not so easy to reach.

वwhile the property needs some modernisation and upkeep, its verandah and location in the middle of the forest make it perfect for a peaceful restorative stay. Ritesh and Rekha are warm and hospitable and made our stay extra comfortable and special. Will be lovely in the monsoon and hope to return again someday
