Best hotel to stay near busstand
I don't want to sound rude, but my experience with this hotel was really disappointing. Even though I had read the reviews, I thought different people have different experiences, but no, it was the same for me. First, it's not close to the Golden Temple; you have to take an e-rickshaw which costs 25 rupees per person. We were four, so we spent 100 rupees one way. The hotel staff behaved as if they were doing us a favor or that I was staying without paying. They lacked manners but were a bit cooperative only if you showed them money. My flight landed around 5:15 am and I reached the hotel around 6 am. Although Fab Hotel support told me I needed to pay for early check-in and that the hotel would be informed, when I arrived, the hotel said they had no communication and needed to check room availability. The guy said how would they know since no communication was given. I told him to take the early check-in fee and allot rooms, but he said it was 2k for early check-in, even though Fab support told me to pay 1k for two rooms. The room service was poor; the geyser was not working and only gave cold water, and it was cold weather in February. Instead of fixing it, the staff said I didn't know how to use the geyser. The bathroom taps were broken. Overall, it was a hassle, and thank God I booked for only one night. A terrible experience. Fab Hotel chain is getting worse, especially partnering with such bad hotels.
