A very old hotel which needs renovation desperately. Built on cantonment property with no much interest from owner needs a rethinking.

This is a very old hotel in urgent need of renovation. It is located on cantonment property, and the owner seems to lack interest, so a reconsideration is necessary.

A peaceful spot to stay in Agra. The rooms are comfortable and the food is quite good.

We booked this hotel for our brother’s wedding with very high hopes. The wedding functions were held on 18th and 19th April this year. The hotel has a great location, ample space to comfortably host around 600’700 guests, and spacious rooms. All these positive aspects convinced us to book this venue for such an important occasion.The deal was finalized with Mr. Hari Ji, the manager of the hotel. Overall, our experience was decent except for one major aspect ’ the decoration.Mr. Sanjeev was in charge of the decoration. From the very beginning, we had doubts about him, so we informed Hari Ji about our concerns. However, he personally assured us and took responsibility for the decoration work, which gave us confidence that everything would be handled professionally.Unfortunately, when the actual event took place, the decoration quality was extremely disappointing. He failed to deliver even half of what he had promised and committed to. All the online/offline meetings, discussions, references, and images we shared were completely ignored.To make matters worse, he did not even have sufficient staff. On the wedding day itself, while we were waiting for arrangements at the venue, he was out in the market buying flowers and the jaimala. The entire situation was chaotic and poorly managed.We chose not to create any scene during the wedding because our only priority was to ensure the functions concluded peacefully. However, the decoration was truly unacceptable. The sofa placed on the wedding stage looked like it had been picked up from an old furniture market, and the same sofa from the Sangeet function was reused for the wedding. Not even a single natural flower was used in the decoration.Despite providing a very high quotation from the beginning, we still proceeded because he was the hotel’s recommended vendor. We negotiated the pricing and specifically requested Hari Ji to guarantee the quality of work. Sadly, that trust was completely broken.Honestly, I can go on and on about how disappointing the experience was.He completely ruined the aesthetic of my brother’s wedding. Every time we look at the wedding photos and videos, all we notice is how pathetic the decoration looked. There weren’t even proper lights arranged.If you ever book this hotel for any function, make it very clear to the management that you DO NOT WANT MR. SANJEEV AS YOUR DECORATOR.It is now quite evident to us that the manager and decorator work together with mutual commission arrangements, which is why he is heavily recommended. Please do not rely on their words and false promises like we did.
