Hostel Mama

I ended up staying here for nearly 10 days, even though I hadn't planned to stay that long. The stunning property and the warm hospitality from Mama made it hard to leave. The whole place is very clean and well kept. I especially enjoyed the cafe area, surrounded by green plants that create a calm and refreshing atmosphere. The best part of the stay was definitely the host, Mama, who is lively, full of fascinating stories, and treats everyone like family. It was a truly memorable and enjoyable experience, and I highly recommend this place!

This hostel is ideally located, right in the heart of everything! The beds are clean and very comfortable. Plus, the rooftop terrace offers an amazing view of the city; it's an ideal spot to relax after a day of sightseeing. A great bonus is the friendly and laid-back staff who run the place—they let me check in early and were very helpful when my train arrived late. I will surely choose to stay here again when I return to Udaipur.

Hostel Mama is much more than just a hostel; it truly feels like home! The owner and staff genuinely treat you like family. Places like this seem to draw a special kind of person because of the unique energy they have. During my time at Hostel Mama, I created many wonderful memories with strangers who quickly became friends. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and I was able to participate in several day trips organized by the hostel. One memorable experience was a trip to the Rayta Mountains near Udaipur to watch a stunning sunset—photos are below! When I fell ill during my trip, I could easily switch to a different room for some privacy. The staff even checked on me to see how I was doing and brought me medicine. That level of care meant a lot to me. Once again, I can't recommend Hostel Mama enough! The place is fantastic, the vibes are amazing, and it naturally attracts wonderful travelers and staff. As a solo foreign traveler, Hostel Mama gave me a real home away from home. I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Udaipur. I'm so thankful for the memories, the people, and the sense of community I found here. I will surely return when I come back to India! Peace & Love, Sita Ram! ❤️
