Hostel Peace & Love Home Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the hostel; the staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist, and very knowledgeable about Jaisalmer and the desert! The hostel itself is lovely, with a beautiful terrace, situated inside the fort, and decorated with local art. Our room had a direct view of the fort! They greeted us with chai, and throughout our stay, the restaurant's food was consistently a great choice—freshly prepared and local. We especially recommend the desert safari with Rosa, an incredible guide who offers a unique experience. He shares fascinating stories and knowledge, and having freshly made food in the desert with him was unforgettable! Overall, this hostel made us fall in love with Jaisalmer and the desert. We highly recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hostel. The rooms and amenities are spotless and charming, adorned with patchworks and fabrics from Rajasthan. The food, prepared by the local staff from Jaisalmer and the desert area, is excellent and authentic. Everything is fresh, vegetarian, and the spice level is tailored to your preference. The staff is always very kind and available. We also spent a night in the desert with Roza, which was an unforgettable experience. He is a friendly, knowledgeable, humorous, and skilled guide who shared many personal stories and local legends. He spoke about his family, his youth working with desert animals, and much more. It offered a wonderful insight into desert traditions and lifestyle. Plus, the location is ideal for exploring the entire fort from within. Highly recommended!

Es ist traumhaft, im Fort zu übernachten. Abends auf dem Dach zu sitzen und mit einem kühlen Getränk die Stadt von oben zu betrachten, ist wunderbar. Der Service war besonders hervorzuheben. Der junge Manager spricht sehr gut Englisch, und man versteht, warum dieses Hostel den Namen peace and love trägt. Das Zimmer war etwas einfach, aber für Indien überdurchschnittlich gut. Ich komme gerne wieder!

We spent two nights with Halim, who was a fantastic host, frequently offering us chai and even upgraded our room for free since we came during the off season! We also enjoyed a night in the desert arranged by his friend Rosa, who was an excellent host and prepared delicious food. I strongly suggest staying here as it offers excellent value and a prime location.

Our stay in Jaisalmer was truly wonderful. Halim and his team were incredibly friendly and hospitable, greeting us at the station and ensuring we felt comfortable like at home. We booked a desert safari via the hostel, which turned out to be an unforgettable adventure. I highly recommend staying here!
