Hotel City Palace

Staff: Unfeeling staff with wooden expression. Receptionist very unreceptive.The Janitor at the garage was very polite and helpful though.Rooms: The rooms are below average and overpriced because of the bar.You will get the same quality of rooms at around half the price at nearby places. And for the same price, you will get excellent rooms if you search a bit more.Overall: The location was the only plus point. Otherwise, an average and overpriced hotel at best. I would suggest avoiding the hotel.

Though the rooms are clean and tidy, the staff was rude and was not behaving properly. The receptionist at night shift was also rude. When we asked them to remove the leftover food scraps, he went away saying we cannot do it at this time. Will do it the next day. Very unprofessional behaviour. After asking them a few more times, they reluctantly agreed to it.

There was a staff at the hotel reception. Her behaviors were extremely nasty. He told me something in his Assamese language called "Bengali". The other room he was showing me was giving me another room. The bathroom condition was not good. The towel stand fell on my daughter's head. I had a very bad experience from this hotel. I stayed one day. The behavior of the hotel staff is very bad. There was only one room boy whose behaviors were very good. I would request that no one is at this hotel where you are dishonored as a Bengali.

I booked the rooms online which were not expensive at all when u put it under accordance with the place and the good bed they provide with a great room service. The fact which was most pleasing was every staff member, excluding some of course, was nice to talk to. They would clearly listen to your instructions and do the job. The scene out of the windows was fair. The wifi wasn't very satisfing but did the job. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely recommend this place.

I have been to this hotel for several times. The rooms of this hotel is quite small but very neat & clean. Toilets are good & odor less. Location is great,just opposite of ASTC bus station. Quality of the food is not bad. A well stock bar & restaurant is available on the 1st floor of the hotel.Management should change the old air conditioners soon. As this hotel is very near to railway & bus station and being a budget hotel I can definitely recommend this hotel.
