Hotel Shiva Sanctuary by DLS Hotels

Stayed for 4 nights and here’s my honest review:’ Not recommended for long stays as they have same breakfast menu for all days.’ Staff was naturally and culturally good and well behaved but they were highly untrained- lacked basic hospitality courtesy.’ Our room was inspected thoroughly (felt embarrassing) at the time of check out even though they do not have a mini bar or such amenities in the room.’ Lastly, the linen was clean but it had gotten pale and yellow due to frequent useHowever, I hope they improve all of these but overall the location and view from the hotel is top class. Rooms are spacious and full of natural light which made us feel welcomed.

I recently stayed at this hotel for three days, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with staff being courteous and helpful from the start.The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, with all the basic amenities provided. Housekeeping did a good job each day, ensuring the space remained tidy. The bed was comfortable, which made it easy to rest after long days.The staff stood out for their politeness and willingness to assist whenever needed. Any requests were handled promptly, which added to the overall comfort of the stay.Food at the hotel was decent, with a reasonable variety of options. While not exceptional, it was satisfactory for a short stay.

I had recently booked a room in this hotel and booked a premium room via MakeMyTrip holiday packages. I was given a premium room with balcony for a hefty amount via MakeMyTrip. As I am a regular traveller via MakeMyTrip, I expected this hotel to be of a good standard. But to my horror, room service didn't have any items in their kitchen apart from Chilly Chicken and Chilly Paneer. Whatever order we asked were met with a NO answer. My question is, why would you provide with an extravagant menu card when you cannot provide with any thing else. Even a simple order like a Dal Fry or Aloo Gobhi wasn't available. My wife needs a sweet after dinner, to which they flatly refused as to not available. Everytime we ask for extra bottles, the waiter came and said with a somewhat rude voice "Extra charge lagega". I fail to understand, for us seasoned travellers, we already know that extra bottles have to be paid extra charge and we don't want to be reminded everytime we ask for an extra water bottle. On the day we were checking out, we were leaving at 7-45 am as we had a flight to catch and asked for some packed breakfast as our breakfast was complementary. We only got ice cold sandwiches and icy boiled eggs. Even our basic request for some cut fruits were denied. I don't know how they claim themselves to be a four star hotel. They even had the audacity to ask for a review after treating us to this. I ask MakeMyTrip to not associate themselves with this hotel any further as their guests will be extremely hassled.

From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and perfectly managed.The rooms were excellent’spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable. The food was equally impressive, with great taste and quality in every meal.What made our experience even more special was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality was truly outstanding and made us feel at home throughout our stay.We would especially like to mention Mr. Abhishek, who interacted with us so politely and warmly. He provided us with very helpful information and made us feel comfortable and valued. Talking to him was truly a pleasant experience.Overall, it was a very pleasant and memorable stay. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and exceptional service.
