We had a lovely stay at Justa. The rooms were comfortable and well-kept, staff were helpful, and honestly the view from the property is one of the best you’ll find in Dharamshala — mountains all around, very peaceful setting.The only downside was the approach road leading up to the resort, which is in pretty rough shape — narrow, bumpy, and a bit tricky to navigate, especially if you’re traveling with kids or lots of luggage. Would recommend factoring in extra time for the drive up and going slow.Apart from that, everything about the stay was smooth. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a scenic, quiet getaway in Dharamshala — just be prepared for the drive in.
The food and staff were excellent, but the rooms were not clean and had an unpleasant odor. The pool was dirty, and overall the rooms lacked cleanliness. The hotel itself was nice, but charging 11k per room per night is too high, as it felt more like a 3 or 4-star hotel rather than worth that price.

Solo Traveller • Jul 2026Our stay at jüSTa Birding Resort & Spa, Dharamshala was very enjoyable. The resort is beautifully situated on a hilltop surrounded by tranquil nature, making it an ideal spot to relax. The buffet breakfast offered a good selection of fresh items. We were also delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade to a Junior Suite, which was a kind surprise from the hotel. A couple of notes for future visitors: although our Junior Suite was on the first floor, the balcony's view of the hills was blocked by privacy screens and landscaping. If you want to enjoy the mountain views, I highly suggest asking for a room on the second floor or higher, where the scenery is much better. The room flooring could use some attention as well; ours had uneven spots and could benefit from an update, especially given the property's overall quality. In summary, the location, friendly service, peaceful atmosphere, and breakfast contributed to a comfortable stay. With some room improvements, this place could easily become an exceptional hill resort. I would gladly recommend it to anyone visiting Dharamshala, particularly if they opt for a room on the upper floors.
