We had a good experience at this hotel

We were warmly welcomed and shown to our room in the Christmas block. Our room looked lovely and the balcony overlooked the valley. As we settled in, we encountered a problem which couldn't be solved, and we were moved to another room which was just as good. We were happy. On the second day on our return from sightseeing, we couldn't get into our room. The hotel staff left us in a cold corridor while they dealt with the problem which was unacceptable,, as it was rather cold. They eventually managed to open the door. By this time, we were both tired and angry at how we had been treated and left in the corridor. We requested to speak to the duty manager who made things worse by just saying sorry and smiling. Again, we felt this wasn't how we expected to be treated so requested to speak to the general manager. At last, we felt like someone knew what had happened and how to deal with complaints. Arun, thank you for understanding us, offering us refreshments, and upgrading us to your heritage suite.WOW, WOW AND WOW to the heritage suite.Therefore, instead of a negative review we changed it to the following.Our stay here was truly memorable, the kind of getaway that leaves you feeling lighter and more connected. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by sweeping views of snow’capped mountains, dense pine forests, and a valley that seemed to stretch endlessly. It felt like stepping into a postcard, calm, crisp air, and a sense of serenity that wrapped around us instantly.The hotel itself blends heritage charm with tasteful modern touches. We loved how the traditional architecture has been preserved while still offering all the comforts of a contemporary stay. Our room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with heritage furniture, with modern facilities that made everything effortless. The balcony became our favourite spot, mornings with soft sunlight over the mountains, and evenings watching the sky change colours in complete peace. It was the perfect place to unwind together.Despite the problem we had, the staff did add warmth to our experience. Most of the staff we interacted with were polite, courteous, and genuinely attentive. Whether it was room service, housekeeping, or the restaurant team, the service was good. The food was another highlight, flavourful, fresh, and served with care. We enjoyed all our meals. Our only request would be to have a selection local fresh fruit for dessert choice.What made the stay truly special, was the tranquillity. It felt like a world away from the usual hustle and bustle, yet still close enough to Dharamshala for easy day trips. The peaceful surroundings, the quiet pathways in the forest, and the gentle mountain breeze created an atmosphere that was both relaxing and rejuvenating. It gave us the perfect space to slow down, breathe, and enjoy each other’s company.Overall, this was a picturesque and serene retreat, a place where we felt welcomed, rested, and completely at ease. We left with beautiful memories and a strong desire to return.

We were a group of 5 and i think i speak for all 5 when i say that we had a outstanudng time.there is clearly Great Leadership in action here. seen in each and every memebr for the team from security to the chef .The food was simply outstanding and served with a smile and not request was too small. The Baked Yougart is to die for !!!The chef came out to chat with us and made adjustment where we required them and did not hesitate to offer a dish that was not on that days menue.even our driver was looked after , a paid homestay was arranged and food was provided at the staff canteen.just before our exit there was a storm which resulted in a tree falling on my car and damaging it. once again the team stepped forward including the GM to help us fix the car so that we could drive back to delhi.

Great service by the dining staff.The hotel also offers books which you read through during your stay. Stunning views and even better hospitality.
