1. The hotel displays main building on the booking portals but their standard category rooms are not in same building.2. Standard category rooms have been located in another building but it is not mentioned during booking.3. People are generally booking by looking property photos but this hotel have not displayed pic of the building where standard category rooms are located.4. One of the most disappointing hotel stays I've had during my business trips. I stayed at Hotel The Raso, Ranchi through my company's corporate travel booking. Because of a flight delay, I arrived around 9:00 PM on check-in day. The next day, I politely asked for a 2-hour late check-out. I wasn't demanding special treatment—just a request, knowing the hotel could say no if it wasn't feasible. What upset me was the conflicting explanation from the receptionist. Initially, I was told late check-out wasn't possible because the room was already booked for another guest, and that 30% of the room rate would be charged. To clarify, I asked, "If I pay the extra 30%, can I stay two more hours?" The receptionist immediately said, "Yes." This made no sense. If the room was truly booked, how could paying more make it available? It seemed the booking excuse was just to justify an extra fee rather than the real reason. I travel a lot across India for work and stay in hotels nearly every week. This was the first time I faced such inconsistent communication about a late check-out. I fully respect hotel policies and understand extra charges may apply, but guests deserve honest, clear, and consistent answers—not contradictory ones. The receptionist's attitude was also disappointing. Hospitality is more than just a room; it's about treating guests with professionalism, courtesy, and respect. The only good part of my stay was the restaurant team. Breakfast was great, and the staff were polite, attentive, and professional. They deserve praise. Sadly, the poor reception experience overshadowed everything else. Based on this, I will suggest to my company's travel team that Hotel The Raso be reviewed before future corporate bookings. I hope management looks into this and improves front desk training so future guests don't face the same issues.
