Couple • India • Oct 2026Needed an economical stopover for a couple of days before traveling further, and at roughly 2,250 a night, this Wyndham/Howard Johnson property fit the budget. It definitely has the infrastructure of an upscale hotel, but ongoing upkeep is lacking.Room Experience (Room 205):On the plus side, the room is genuinely spacious—plenty of deck space even with two full-sized suitcases laid out. The bed was comfortable, bedside charging points were handy, and having a dedicated work desk, iron/board, and basic beverage station was very convenient. Toiletries like dental kits were already there, while slippers and bath mats were available upon asking.On the flip side, acoustic insulation is poor; neighboring conversations bleed right through the walls. The biggest surprise was the air conditioning—switching it on sounds like firing up an aircraft turbine! ✈️😅 Hallways show noticeable water damage and rust, and the bathroom feels like it had quick patchwork rather than an actual overhaul (creaky door, dated woodwork, rust marks). Note that they only replace bed linens every other day, citing eco-friendly reasons.😢😢😢Food & Dining:Breakfast had a reasonable variety, though the boiled eggs clearly were not fresh. Regular in-room dining was quite bland and mediocre, though the portions are substantial enough for two people to split. If you do order, the Mishti Doi is a must-try, and the walnut brownie was quite nice too. Otherwise, just walk two minutes over to the Holiday Inn next door—spending an extra 100 there gives you far superior food.Staff & Final Take:Housekeeping and restaurant teams were consistently polite and helpful. All in all, if you treat it purely as a wallet-friendly transit stop, it gets the job done for the price.

Front office staff especially male are not good. Very arrogant behavior. AC not working well, getting off automatically and you will face suffocation. if you complaint, they will send some maintenance staff not technical, and he will arrange fan if required. you have to complaint multiple time to get any kind of service. Yes staff at restaurant are very good and cooperative. No issue it restaurant, yes it bit costly in compare to others.
