Ibex Resorts, Kotagiri

We reserved a Two Bedroom Annex villa at Ibex Kotagiri for the weekend of July 5th to 7th, expecting a pleasant stay. However, after sunset, countless tiny flies invaded our villa from an unknown source, filling the entire living area. We tried using room fresheners and contacted housekeeping, but they seemed unsure how to handle the situation and said they would notify the Resort Incharge. We ended up having dinner in the bedroom since the dining table was swarmed with insects. Our sleep was very disturbed that night. The following evening was worse, with even more insects, and again the staff was unable to help. This time, we had to eat dinner in the common hall near the reception. We reached out to Ms. Sangeeta, the Manager, and Mr. Karthik, the Resort Incharge, but neither responded to our complaints. This reflects the poor level of service. Frustrated and sleep-deprived for two nights, we checked out early at 7 AM on the 7th instead of the scheduled noon checkout. While staff members Mr. Pratap and Mr. Guru were polite and helpful, our overall experience was ruined by the resort's poor maintenance. We even suggested a simple fix to the team: properly sealing the villa against outside elements, which seems to be lacking. Unfortunately, there was no response to this either. We are very disappointed.

We enjoyed a fantastic 2-night stay at Ibex Resorts, Kotagiri, savoring every moment. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-kept, providing a truly relaxing atmosphere. We are grateful to the wonderful staff for their warm welcome, friendliness, and outstanding service—they truly went the extra mile to make our visit memorable. The weather was lovely, and the tranquil surroundings offered a refreshing escape from the city's noise. Waking up to peacock calls and other birds was delightful, and seeing a bison was an exciting surprise! The food was tasty and reminded us of home cooking. We especially valued how the team gladly tailored meals to our tastes, making us feel well looked after. In summary, Ibex Resorts is an ideal spot for anyone seeking a private, calm, and revitalizing retreat in Kotagiri. We left feeling renewed and are eager to return. Highly recommended!

The location is excellent and very tranquil. The staff greeted us warmly and the homemade meals were fantastic. We were fortunate to spot deer, bison, and a bear wandering on the grounds. An unforgettable experience!
