Overall Stay was nice, but during tourist hours, Breakfast was crunch and bit messed up, though the food was bit ok, limited items.
Overall, we had a good stay, mainly because of the beautiful views, peaceful location and clean surroundings. However, I feel the property has a lot of potential but is currently not making the most of it.What we likedThe views are beautiful and probably the biggest highlight of the property.The location is peaceful and away from the crowded parts of Ooty.The resort surroundings are clean and well maintained.The food is decent, although not exceptional.Swiggy and Zomato are allowed, which is a big plus because the resort food is relatively expensive and there are limited options, especially for lunch.Buggy service is available to take guests around the property.What could be improvedBalcony: Most rooms and suites do not have a private balcony. Only the villas have balconies. Considering the beautiful views, balconies in more room categories would significantly improve the experience.Low water pressure: The bathroom water pressure was quite low. This is especially noticeable with the bathtub, which takes a long time to fill, so it is difficult to properly enjoy the bathtub.Room mats: There were no proper floor mats in the room, which is inconvenient in Ooty's cold and sometimes wet weather.Toiletries: Shampoo and conditioner were not provided. Only shower gel was available. For a resort in this category, I expected better basic toiletries.Bonfire: The bonfire area is quite small and can accommodate only around 20 people. Since seating is limited, getting a place depends on your luck. The bonfire itself also felt quite basic.Restaurant service: The food was okay, but the service needs improvement. The restaurant started removing food items at closing time even when guests were still eating, without informing them beforehand that the restaurant was about to close. A simple announcement would have been much better.Breakfast communication: There was no reminder or call if guests were still sleeping during breakfast hours. In Ooty's cold weather, guests may naturally wake up late, so a simple reminder would be helpful.Buggy service: Buggy service is available from reception to other areas, but there was no buggy service from the restaurant back to reception, which can be inconvenient.Activities: The property has beautiful surroundings but does not have enough proper activities to keep guests engaged. It has the potential to be a resort where you can spend the whole day without leaving, but currently there is not enough to do.Food tipI would recommend taking a breakfast + dinner package rather than relying on room dining. For lunch, having Swiggy/Zomato available is very useful because you get more options and the resort's food is relatively expensive.Final thoughtsOverall, we enjoyed our stay because of the beautiful views, peaceful location and clean surroundings. The property has a lot of potential, but the service, amenities and activities need improvement to match the experience you would expect from a resort in this category. Also better go in monsoon season to enjoy best views.I would recommend it mainly for the views and location, but with some improvements, this could be a much better resort experience.
