Hotel Darshan

I stayed at Darshan Hotel in Ooty for four days last week. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations.Pros:The hotel is located in a prime area, which makes it convenient for visitors. The garden space is pleasant, and the lake view point on the fourth floor offers a nice view. The staff were also polite and accommodating.Cons:The rooms do not have a wardrobe, which makes it difficult to store clothes during a longer stay. Room heating is not included as a complimentary service. The towels in the washroom are quite old and should be replaced. The rooms also do not have a smart TV.The Wi-Fi system needs improvement. The login process is inconvenient, and the internet speed is very low. The connection also disconnects frequently.Most of the staff primarily speak Hindi, even though the hotel is located in Tamil Nadu, which may make communication difficult for some guests.The complimentary breakfast offers a reasonable variety, but the quality of the food could be improved. The overall cleanliness and ambience of the hotel, especially in common areas like the reception and public restrooms, need attention as they appear old and somewhat worn out.Additionally, the hotel could benefit from having a small play area or activity space dedicated to children.Overall, while the hotel has a good location and friendly staff, several improvements are needed to enhance the guest experience.

We had a very good experience at the Darshan hotel, hospitality management and food was on point, more over The driver Babu made the trip more memorable. He was very cooperative and polite, showed us the best ooty sightseeing, very good restaurants and local shopping markets. I would recommend this driver at any cost. Your ooty trip would definitely be worth visiting!

Darshan Hotel in Ooty offers a truly wonderful stay with an excellent view of Ooty Lake, especially in the mornings and evenings ’ the scenery is beautiful and very relaxing. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped with good facilities. The staff were professional, polite, and treated everyone with respect, which made the experience even better.The restaurant on the 4th floor serves a wide variety of North and South Indian dishes, and the food quality was very good. Breakfast was included with the room, and I was impressed with the number of options available ’ whether you prefer North Indian, South Indian, or Jain food, there’s something for everyone.Another highlight is that the hotel is pure vegetarian and does not permit drinking inside, making it a great choice for families. Overall, from staff behavior to food, room quality, and cleanliness, everything was excellent. I would definitely recommend Darshan Hotel, Ooty, for a comfortable and family-friendly stay.

Rooms - rooms are not properly insulated. The curtains are transparent . One can see the inside of room through the windows. We stayed two days in hotel. The rooms are not properly insulated.Service - the breakfast was included in our package. It was nice.The tea n coffee powders in the room are below averageIts difficult to call security for opening the gate. Sometimes he was not responding properly.Location - Location is awesome. We can enjoy the beauty of the lake from the open balcony.

Overall, our stay at the hotel was good and pleasant. The approach to the hotel is convenient, and the location is excellent. The lake view from the hotel is truly beautiful and adds great value to the experience.The staff behavior was polite, cooperative, and professional throughout our stay. Food quality was decent with a good variety of options available. The breakfast spread was also good and satisfying.However, there were a few drawbacks that affected our overall experience. The hotel did not provide basic toiletries such as a shaving kit, toothbrush, or toothpaste. There was also no tea/coffee making facility in the room, not even sachets, which was disappointing for a hotel of this standard.The most unpleasant experience occurred on the last night of our stay when very loud theater music was played around 10:00 PM. Even after calling the reception, it took nearly 10 minutes to reduce the volume. During that time, my child got very scared and could not sleep properly the entire night. This was a very bad and stressful experience for us.Despite these issues, the hotel has good potential due to its location, view, and staff. With better attention to basic amenities and guest comfort, it could offer a much better overall experience.
