This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed at in Ooty. If your travel agent recommends it, avoid it. The owner or manager is very rude and arrogant, showing no concern for guests or their comfort. Basic necessities like drinking water, soap, hot water, and room heaters are not provided. The hotel's location is very inconvenient; once there, you can't find anything nearby and are basically stuck. They appear to have a deal with an auto-rickshaw driver who charges ₹250 for a short 1.5 km trip to the main road. The rooms and bathrooms are unclean, and there is no room service or guest assistance available. You're left completely on your own after checking in.

We recently visited Abode in Ooty and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The owner was very friendly and supportive during our entire stay, making us feel completely at ease. The room was immaculate, nicely furnished, and very cozy — ideal for unwinding after a tiring day. The facilities were excellent and everything was kept in great condition. A standout part of our visit was the food. The on-site restaurant offered a wide range of dishes, all attractively served and rich in flavor. Whether breakfast or dinner, each meal was fresh and tasty with a homemade touch. In summary, I strongly suggest Abode to anyone seeking a pleasant, comfortable stay with warm hospitality and excellent cuisine. We will surely return!

It's located very close to the Botanical Garden, but the upstairs area felt a bit scary. The rooms are okay.
