ITC Sonar, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kolkata

I’ve staid in many 5 star hotels around the world and there are 5stars and then there is the ITC Sonar. I would comfortably put it in the top 3 hotels I have ever staid inThe staff are the absolute nicest people you could ever wish to meet. They really do go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.The rooms are spacious and luxurious and the bed was just so comfortable.We had 4 hours to pass before leaving to to the airport so checked out and enjoyed lounging by the wonderful pool for the afternoon.I honestly could not recommend more highly

I had a lovely experience at ITC Sonar Bangla, Kolkata, and Mahwish, the Floor Manager, truly stood out. She is courteous, well-spoken, and extremely attentive. Her way of handling guests with patience and care reflects true hospitality. She made sure everything was smooth and comfortable during my visit. A wonderful professional and a real asset to the hotel.

This is the hotel where KKR stays during the IPL.So this alone says about the absolute beautiful hotel it is.Sonar Bangla provides a vintage style, classy, quiet and peaceful staying option in a prime location in the heart of Kolkata.Rooms are absolutely amazing with special secured floors available for solo female travelers.Food is amazing, they have multiple highly famous in house restaurants like Peshawari and Sonar Tori which are famous for mughal and bengali delicacy.The view of Royal Bengal from the lake of Sonar Bangla is amazing.The entire hotel provides a quiet, quaint, peaceful vibe.If you are looking for a top notch place to spend your days in Kolkata, look no further than this hotel.Also if you are from Kolkata, make sure to visit Sonar tori and Peshawari for its amazing food.

The restaurants are truly world-class’Peshawri and the breakfast room Eden Pavilion offer unforgettable dining experiences. Chefs Mr. Shibaji Majumder, Shubhankar, and Ms Ritika deserve special appreciation for their hospitality and the delicious meals they prepared across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their service is consistently above expectations, and I wholeheartedly recommend ITC Sonar to everyone visiting Kolkata. It is not just a hotel, but a home of luxury and care.
