ITC Royal Bengal, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kolkata

I stayed in this hotel after i changed THREE luxury 5 stars hotels which all suffered from the same problem....they are smelly, humid and damp. paint peeling on the sides. Until I found this and it was amazing. very clean, new or newly renovated, and clean most of all.

Stayed here for 3 days for a conference and honestly what a place. The stay was absolutely fabulous - fancy in all the right ways without being over the top.In-room dining was super well managed, no complaints there. One thing to note though - if you're ordering from Zomato, they won't deliver to your room directly (security reasons), so you'll have to pick it up from the ground floor yourself. Packed/sealed items can still come up to your room though, so plan accordingly.Since our conference was at the lower lobby, we didn't really get to explore the restaurant floor - but the food spread during the conference had delicacies from all over, really well done. Also loved that they're completely plastic-free water served in glass bottles, very thoughtful touch.Everything felt very organised and put together. If you ever get the chance to stay here, just go for it - at least once, for the experience alone. You won't regret it. ’?
