I went to Mysuru Palace yesterday, and it really met its high expectations. The architecture is breathtaking, with every part displaying exquisite carvings, detailed designs, and the rich legacy of the Wadiyar dynasty. Walking inside the palace felt like traveling back in time. The interiors are well preserved, and the paintings, royal relics, and grand rooms are definitely worth admiring. The whole palace area is tidy and well kept, though it can become quite busy, especially on weekends and holidays. Since photography is prohibited inside, it encourages you to fully appreciate the beauty without the distraction of a camera. The gardens outside are also nice for a stroll, and the palace appears even more impressive from the outside. If you can, visit in the evening when the palace is lit up—it’s a sight you won’t forget. All in all, Mysuru Palace is a must-see for anyone traveling to Karnataka. Whether you love history, architecture, or just exploring famous landmarks, this palace provides a memorable visit and is definitely worth your time. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Recently visited this palace and was amazed by its grandeur! The architecture is magnificent, with every detail telling a unique story. Spend time admiring the intricate interiors, detailed woodwork, and exquisite carvings and paintings. The gardens, rooms, and views all give a feeling of stepping back into history with elegance. Even managing the visit with three four-year-olds was very easy. The ticketing process, well-organized parking, and shoe storage facilities are all very well maintained, making it a great spot for families. * 🌿 Atmosphere: Calm and majestic. Ideal for a leisurely walk or exploring heritage deeply. * 📸 Photography: So many spots perfect for photos. Important Evening Tips: We visited on a Saturday around 4 PM to enjoy the daytime palace tour and stay for the evening lights. If you plan the same, make sure to arrive before 4:30 PM. Ticket counters close at 5:30 PM, and security clears the palace grounds right after. To see the Sound & Light Show, you need to exit the gates, buy separate tickets, and then re-enter. Lighting vs. Show: The palace lit up at night is truly magical and breathtaking. However, the Sound & Light Show itself was not very captivating for us. The schedule is: * Monday to Wednesday: Kannada Light Show * Thursday to Friday: English Light Show * Saturday: English Light Show followed by Kannada Light Show * Sunday: No Sound & Light Show, but palace lights are on and grounds open for visitors to enjoy the view. 👍 Highly recommended: Whether you're into history, beauty, or just want a peaceful retreat, this place has it all!

Maintenance is very good and everyone should see it, but the entrance fee of Rs.150 is too high for a middle-class family; Rs.100 would be acceptable.
