Prakash Hotel

If you plan to stay here, please refrain from doing so. This is the worst hotel ever. The cleanliness is not there. There are cockroaches. They will first confirm on call that it's confirmed and then will charge you extra. We wanted to extend the stay, however they made sure our life was hell. They charge extra for AC. They don't give water as well to the room. The electricity goes off and they don't even have a generator. The AC as well even we pain extra they switch off as their wish.The receptionist as well is the absolute worse.

Very Bad Experience – Not RecommendedI had a very disappointing experience at Prakash Hotel. The room was not properly cleaned and was completely wet. Although they cleaned it after I complained, the room became wet again because there was no exhaust fan or proper ventilation.To make matters worse, the room originally assigned to me was given to someone else, and instead of resolving the issue properly, the staff simply told me to manage.The electricity was also being switched off frequently, and they would turn off the power from outside without properly informing us.The water quality was another major issue. The water available for bathing was very salty, and there was no proper drinking-water facility. They only provided drinking water in one large bottle, which had to be refilled repeatedly.Overall, the room, cleanliness, ventilation, electricity, water quality, and service were all very disappointing. I would not recommend Prakash Hotel to anyone. Please think twice before booking this property.

The property has a few positives worth mentioning: - Excellent location, very close to the South and West entrances of Rameshwaram Temple. - Several good restaurants are nearby, making dining convenient. - Staff were polite and helpful, answering questions and assisting with parking arrangements. - Easy access to Dhanushkodi, which made travel smoother. However, there were notable drawbacks: - Rooms, though spacious, were not clean. The bathroom was poorly maintained, and some taps were not functional (this was mentioned at check-in but not reflected in the website photos). - The almirah was dirty, and I even noticed cockroaches. - Parking was a major issue — vehicles had to be parked 50–100 meters away near a drainage area, which was crowded with traffic. Overall ImpressionThis stay is suitable if you are looking for a simple place to sleep and prioritize proximity to the temple. For those visiting primarily for temple access, the location is convenient. However, improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and parking facilities are urgently needed to make the experience more comfortable.
