Excellent Stay & Food, But Service Vibes Need ImprovementThe Positives:First, the basics of this hotel are solid. The location is absolutely great’very central and convenient for getting around Kannur. The rooms were spotless; very neat and clean, which is always the most important thing for me. The food was another highlight’excellent quality and taste. If you are just looking for a comfortable room and a good meal, this place hits the mark.The Service Gap:However, the general atmosphere regarding service was a bit of a letdown. Most of the staff looked visibly overworked and tired; there wasn't a smile to be found, even when I tried to engage or talk to them. It made the vibe feel a bit heavy.Specifically, there was a gentleman sitting at the desk in the morning who was quite grumpy. His attitude felt like he was doing us a huge favor just by doing his job, which isn't what you expect in hospitality.The Stars of the Show:That said, I have to give a huge shout-out to a few individuals who saved the experience. The security team’both the morning and evening guards’were super great, very welcoming and helpful.Also, a special mention to Mr. Khan (a short gentleman who speaks Hindi). He was the exception to the rule and is a true example of what hospitality should be’warm, helpful, and genuine. Management should definitely take note of him!Verdict:Royal Omars is a great property with excellent food and cleanliness, but the front-line management needs to work on staff morale and basic courtesy. Thank you to Mr. Khan and the security team for making us feel welcome!

The rooms were comfortable and well maintained. The service was excellent from helping with luggage to promptly providing an extra bed when requested. The staff were courteous and professional throughout our stay. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Kannur.
