Outstanding property. Well curated rooms and surrounds. The wait staff in the dinning room is very attentive to the guest's needs, especially Anwesha and Raj Kumar are very friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend this property for the best stay in the area and probably the region.

Five stars all the way. True to the Tata tradition’’The pros totally outweigh the cons.Almost 200 year old property (197 to be precise), cottage style rooms, rooms with high ceiling ( rarer nowadays), very well maintained. Rooms are huge with a fireplace. Separate dressing room, compact bathrooms. Small room adjacen to the bedroom with sofa and a table. Stunning view everywhere ( situated in the heart of Nilgiris), greenery and flowers outside. Grass lawns with table and chairs, if you want to read in the natural sunlight. The property maintains the vintage beautyThe staff in the reception, dining, cleaning and housekeeping -- were extremely courteous and provided a service with a smile.The family rooms had an adjoining door connecting 2 cottages, which was very convenient.Huge lawn for children tonplay, game rooms with board games, a foosball , miniature library.Breakfast and dinner timings are 7:15 to 10:15 am and 7:15 to 10:15 pm respectively.Huge breakfast spread. A la carte dinner for 2 nights and then a dinner buffet due to sudden inflow of guests.The staff and the chef made the food spicy, non-spicy without garlic . according to your taste. After 8 pm, the dinner room gets overcrowded though.Hotbag is provided on request to keep the bed warm in the night.High tea has coffee / tea with the Ooty famous varkeys. You can order snacks extra at your own cost.Jiva spa was good. Took a massage. Lily from Nagaland gave a comfortable massage.Vegetable garden was not to our expectations.Children can enjoy pony rides, cycle rides, play with bunnies.The staff were from different parts if India. Had to use the phone torchlightThe rooms were not at the same level, there was a level difference between the bedroom and dressing room, could pose a hazard for senior citizens and children, maybe.

We stay at Taj properties for the ’Tajness’ ’ the warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail that the brand is known for. And food is one of the most integral parts of any stay experience.At Taj Savoy Hotel, we specifically requested Jain food from Executive Chef Mr. Niranjan himself, with a clear request for non-sweet preparation.What arrived felt more like dessert than a meal.We then called the manager, Mr. Arul, explained the concern, and the dish was taken back ’ only to return within 10 minutes, still sweet, this time with added chilli.The masala khichdi was watery and bland.If you want to stay here, stay for the Taj name ’ not for the Tajness, and certainly not for the food.The breads were also average.A meal, an experience, and valuable time completely spoilt, and so the stay.2 rooms 17may.

Our first stay in Savoy ooty.We enjoyed the stay with family.Nice place to stay for a quiet and calm experience in colonial style cottages..Value money is not great.Food quality good.Excellent service in the restaurant by boys and girls...and managers too.They could have added a fruit platter at rooms on arrival...we missed it.In spite of charging high, high tea and snacks were payable.In most good resorts , evening tea is made complimentary.Garden was well maintained.If you want to enjoy ooty weather in a calm and colourful place, savoy is a great choice..ihcl touch is there!Management can make a bit more value for stay by few add ons.
