It was an exceptional experience which starts within 500 mtrs from the property . The property is right in middle of an tea estate, amazing place to stay & take pics, unlike other bigger properties. It's regretting if u stay only for 2 nights becoz we stayed in a presidential suite. This suite is the only room which comes with a temperature controlled plunge pool & a sauna in whole ooty. Their hospitality is top notch , they took good care of old mother. Love it to the infinity.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days and had a comfortable stay, but reaching the hotel was a terrible experience. We booked a taxi recommended by Mr. Malla Reddy, an employee at Ayatana Resort. The taxi service was Big Travels, and Ms. Ashwini handled the booking. On behalf of Ayatana Resorts, they charged us double the usual fare for a cab from Coimbatore to Ooty Ayatana. Instead of the normal 5k, we were charged 10k. Despite paying twice the amount, the driver did not know the route to the resort, so we wasted nearly an extra hour finding our way. This left a very bad impression, and even after reporting it to management, no action was taken. Heard about fair practices, Ayatana?

Paying 90000 for three nights is acceptable if the service is good. However, there was no hot water one day and the TV was not working on another. We had to call multiple times to get these issues fixed. Additionally, we found three dead cockroaches in the water bottle on our table. I will not return here. An apology alone does not make up for all this. Please contact me to discuss the matter. The booking was under the name Vinodh Loganathan from July 16th to July 19th.

We recently stayed at this property again because our first visit was very positive, and there are still many appealing aspects here. The resort's greatest assets remain its staff and the property itself. The team is friendly, attentive, polite, and truly willing to assist. Housekeeping deserves special praise for their excellent work throughout our stay, especially since we were traveling with young children. The rooms were immaculate, and the upkeep of the property, lawns, and gardens continues to be outstanding. The grounds are lovely, tranquil, and meticulously maintained, making the resort an ideal spot to relax and unwind. Sadly, the food was a major letdown and the weakest part of our visit. What surprised us most was that the dining experience seemed largely the same as during our previous visit several years ago. Over time, we've recommended this place to friends and family, many of whom gave similar feedback about the food after their stays. The problem isn't the variety but the overall quality, flavor, and preparation. Breakfast felt more like what you'd find at a typical business hotel rather than a luxury resort. Dinner was just as disappointing. The soups lacked depth, the main dishes were forgettable, and the desserts didn't impress in either presentation or taste. Even simple items like croissants and Danish pastries, usually highlights of a premium breakfast, were disappointing. Instead of being light, flaky, and buttery, they resembled ordinary bread shaped like pastries. While this might seem minor, it reflected the overall dining experience. The disappointment is heightened by the fact that guests have very few dining options nearby, making the resort's food an important part of the overall experience. There were also a couple of issues upon arrival. After a long drive, we found the reception restroom in an unacceptable state, with visible urine on the floor around both the urinal and toilet. Also, drinking water was not readily available at reception despite asking twice. For a property competing with established luxury resorts in the same price range, the service, hospitality, rooms, and grounds are certainly comparable. However, the kitchen and dining experience fall far short of the standard set by the rest of the resort. In fact, on our last night, we chose to order dinner from a restaurant in Ooty town and willingly paid the high delivery fees rather than eat at the resort again. That probably sums up our disappointment with the food. Overall, this remains a beautiful property with excellent staff and superb hospitality. If management seriously focuses on improving the food and dining experience, it could become one of the best resorts in the area. Until then, I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars. P.S. I took the time to send detailed feedback directly to the Front Office Manager after our stay, highlighting both positives and areas needing improvement. Unfortunately, I never received any acknowledgment, reply, or follow-up. This gave me the impression that the feedback request might have been more of a formality than a sincere effort to understand and address guest concerns. Given the detailed and constructive nature of the feedback, I had hoped for at least a simple acknowledgment or response from management.
