Silver Waves Resort & Spa - Daman

I was travelling to Daman and needed a one night stay. This hotel looked good so booked it.At the outset everything seemed fine. Huge property, great location - right across the promenade, big lawn, infinity pool and ample parking.However the management and upkeep of the hotel needs to be improved. The moment I entered the room I realised my dustbin bag wasn't even changed.The fan in the room was making so much noise I couldn't use it the whole night. The bed was like a trampoline and caused a backache, I called the reception for an extra bedsheet so that I could sleep on the sofa but no one delivered it.The food was very average ( I had breakfast and lunch here).In all, the owner has invested a good amount in setting up the property, but he needs to train the staff better and maintain the property better as well .

the toilet was so so dirty. had to ask them to clean. yet the stains remained. ten asked for room change. in the new room, the balcony window did not lock. much better options elsewhere than this. the hotel is good with breakfast and views

Top-notch resort

I had booked 3 rooms and was accompanied by my family. The property is good and location is fine but there is nothing 4 star about it. Rooms are pretty average and housekeeping is terrible. It is more like a 2 star hotel. Food is okay okay. Staff is not so friendly and they had randomly started painting outside the rooms without any intimation which ruined our clothes as the paint was wet and we had no idea about it. There are much better options in the same vicinity. Definitely not staying again with this property. Not worth the money. Check with the hotel before taking kids as they are very stringent and don't consider any goodwill waiver even for small kids.

We stayed in the Superior sea view room which featured a nice balcony and was definitely one of the best sea view rooms in Daman. Both the room and bathroom were clean and tidy. The furniture and decor were nice, but the spring mattress quality was quite disappointing. The breakfast buffet was sufficient and delicious. We also enjoyed lunch and dinner there, which were tasty and reasonably priced, comparable to other good hotels in Daman. Duty manager Pooja and a grey-bearded gentleman, likely the head of housekeeping, were very friendly and helpful.
