Couple • India • May 2026My stay at Sterling Amargarh was highly unsatisfactory and far below expectations of a 4-star property.I had booked a Junior Suite with extra bedding for three people, but the experience was extremely poor from the start. The first room allotted was in unacceptable condition — dirty, unhygienic, foul-smelling bathroom, and presence of insects, mosquitoes, and flies.After raising a complaint, we were shifted late at night to another room. Unfortunately, the second room had serious issues as well:Air conditioning was not working, making the room very uncomfortableBathroom taps and showers were faultyExtra bedding (already paid for) was not providedAdditionally, I faced billing issues:I was charged for items I did not orderDish names were incorrectEven basic drinking water was chargedDespite highlighting these issues, I was forced to pay the full amount at checkout.The most disappointing aspect was the management’s response. A refund was initially assured but later no one took responsibility, and there was a clear lack of accountability and professionalism.Overall, this stay involved poor hygiene, service failure, and billing discrepancies. I would not recommend this property to other travelers.
