Sumitel Vista 800m from Mall Road

Overall the experience was great. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The food at their restaurant Blue Charcoal was fabulous. The roof top Cafe, Cafe 360 is a great place to relax and view the Kanchenjunga, provided you have a good weather ’’.The challenge is the location. It is on top and very difficult to walk up to if you are a senior citizen or you have some problems with your knees.The hotel can improve further if they maintain the property. Some of the wall papers are peeling off.However, overall the experience was great ’’.

Room size was good and the bed was comfortable. There’s also a big mirror in the room, which is nice. However, surprisingly, there was no wardrobe, which was quite inconvenient for keeping clothes and luggage organized.Bathroom maintenance was poor ’ many taps and fittings were not working properly, which really affected the overall comfort.On the positive side, food quality was good and the staff were polite and helpful. The location is within walking distance from Mall Road, but it’s an uphill walk, so keep that in mind.The rooftop caf?? has a great view, and on a clear day it should be amazing, though we unfortunately missed the Mt. Kanchenjunga view due to dense fog.

Had a good and comfortable stay at Sumi Vista Hotel, Darjeeling. The rooms were clean and the overall experience was pleasant. Food quality was also good and satisfying.The highlight of the stay was the stunning view of Kanchenjunga from the window’absolutely beautiful and worth waking up early for. Do note that this view is available from the premium rooms. I was initially given a standard room and had to upgrade by paying extra to get the Kanchenjunga view.Overall, a nice place to stay if you’re looking for comfort and scenic mountain views.

When we reached the hotel, a man came out with a big smile and greeted us so nicely and asked we were there special guests and when I said yes he immediately took our luggage inside without even waiting. His name is Mr. PRANJAL and honestly his energy was so good that we instantly felt comfortable.The moment we entered he gave us a special Darjeeling black tea and after that long journey it felt so relaxing. Then Miss MANISHA welcomed me and my wife with tilak and aarti and that gesture was really heart touching and made us feel at home.After this warm welcome Mr. PRANJAL explained everything about the hotel facilities and later he also came to the room again to explain things properly. And throughout our stay Miss LAXMI coordinated with us whenever we needed anything she was always polite and helpful.The food was really nice and hygiene was properly maintained which is something I personally appreciate. All the staff members were very humble and friendly and literally available anytime we needed them.Special thanks to Mr. Pranjal, Miss Manisha, Miss Laxmi, Miss LOZIN and the whole team for making our stay so comfortable. I would easily rate this place 5 out of 5 and whenever we come to Darjeeling again we will definitely choose this hotel without thinking twice.
