The Hermitage Hotel

Please note: don't judge the towels on the floor in one photo—they had just finished cleaning the AC units and we happened to catch them in the middle of it. This actually shows good maintenance, which many hotels neglect. Dinesh at the front desk was helpful and straightforward. He gave us a good rate and allowed us to upgrade to a larger room for a reasonable extra charge. The hotel was clean and peaceful. Although the bathroom was a bit outdated, features like a fridge, table and chairs, and two AC units made the stay more comfortable. The nearby monuments, small shops, and the quiet street location were additional benefits.

I recently stayed at The Hermitage by Cosy Hotels in East of Kailash and found it to be a comfortable and well-located hotel near popular attractions like ISKCON Temple, Lotus Temple, Kailash Colony Market, and South Delhi transit points ’ all within walking distance or a short walk away, which made sightseeing very convenient.The rooms were clean, spacious and well-equipped with essential amenities like air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, television, and tea/coffee facilities, and the staff were friendly and responsive throughout my stay. The on-site restaurant and room service were handy after a long day of exploring the city.As a Google Local Guide and Google-trusted 360?? Virtual Tour photographer, I recommend adding a Google 360?? The hotel feels like it would have been quite stylish in its heyday, though now it’s showing signs of age and could use some renovations and modern touches. That said, it still offers a reasonably comfortable stay.The location is fairly good, with easy access to both rickshaws and Uber, making it simple to get around. It’s about a half-hour ride into the main part of Delhi, which worked well for sightseeing and exploring.The staff were reasonably helpful and friendly, and seemed genuinely keen to assist with any questions or concerns. My room was neat, tidy, and comfortable, though the cleaning could definitely be improved.As a solo traveller, I felt safe during my stay, which was important to me. Overall, it’s a decent mid-range option if you don’t mind a property that’s a little past its prime.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!. THIS IS A SCAM!Their check-in times are at their discretion. Regardless of anything being advised. I was left WITHOUT any accommodation at 02:30 in the morning. After requesting and having a specific time approved. The hotel kindly changed their mind and refused to let me check in.I hope no one else has a similar experience!

Not enough positive things to say about this stay. Extremely kind and attentive staff. Breakfast is decent and clean. Rooms are kept well. Location is near good spots to walk and a great park.I was here for an extended stay, about two weeks, and loved every day of it.
