The washroom was hideous with dirt caked on every fixture and a foul, persistent smell. No towels, soaps or toiletries were provided. No water bottles was given as mentioned in the booking details, it had to be purchased. At 2 am someone was trying to enter the room and turning handle persistently for atleast 5 mins. An overall unpleasant stay.

We reached at night, and roused a couple of kids. The room was thankfully on the first floor. The lift wasn’t working. We got an excellent dinner cooked at night but no breakfast in the morning as the cook didn’t get up till 11 am.. There was a generator which didn’t work in the morning next from 5 am when the power went out. Bathroom fixtures were wonky and the water ran out. Had to remind the people on foot (phone wasn’t working) to switch the pump on. Which offered some cardio, so that was good. The food when it was cooked was very good, and the hotel was very economical. It is a twenty minute walk from the Manipal university so that wasn’t too bad.
