Location is good although you need to drive through a rough road to reach the hotelCleanliness has to be improved a lot. There were house flies at the place where breakfast was served.No proper response from the staff for queries. No options to order a drink/food as the restaurant was not functional whole day. Only option is swiggy/zomato

2 Stars due to Staff and cleanliness. Let me summarize, the hotel location is not easily accessible, offroad, with rough patches, steep road (2-3 steep cuts), if 1 car is coming and other is going up, you are stuck. Sometimes you may get stuck on initial cut itself, as there is a road going further so buses and cars get locked on diversion and same point the diversion to hotel goes. My scenario was on this diversion, 2 buses, 2 cars stuck and then 2 cabs coming from steep. Took at least 15-20 mins to slowly clear up and then risking it a little, slowly moving towards steep. Less parking (max 4-5 which is generally occupied by their taxis), you will end up parking in front of hotel, so morning you will find your car with dust (due to water tanks or other vehicles passing by). About room, comparatively smaller, wash rooms sinks generally drain and you can see water coming down, making you carry it inside room since mats also get drenched. No iron. No lunch or dinner provision internally, which was not shared earlier. You can't think of every time taking your car out to go downtown, get something and come back. Anything you want to order, keep an hour buffer, as nothing is too close (3 kms of plains are not equal to 3 kms of steep terrain). One evening i was worried as even Zomato was not delivering anything except Pizza. Later zomato enabled few options but by that time i ordered pizza to avoid sleeping empty stomach esp. with young children, since hotel was giving same response 3 days - no lunch or dinner availability due to gas shortage. Initial (Deluxe) room i checked in was having huge roof dampness. Requested the staff and they were kind enough to change, reason for that star. For the cost it's been booked, facilities are bare minimum and equal to no. No nearby store or market. So if you want to avail it, either be prepared and keep some stock or better choose some option which is on ground-near to market or some store.

The hotel is located about 1 km away from the main road, making it inconvenient for guests relying on public transport like autos. Service quality is below expectations; even after requesting room cleaning at reception, it was not attended to. The property does not have an in-house restaurant, so guests must depend on food delivery apps like Swiggy or Zomato, which can be unreliable at times. Additionally, the pricing does not seem justified for the room size and overall experience. Based on feedback from locals, there are better options available if booked in advance

Just okeish hotel

First of all, the time I chose to visit Ooty was not ideal. It’s the peak of summer, and I must admit there was a huge demand for hotels and cottages.Finally, I found one under the brand name Treebo Hotels. Since I’ve had a good experience with this brand earlier, I trusted that Treebo wouldn’t disappoint me. This time, it didn’t—but at the same time, I would like to share some facts.The hotel and its premises are superb, located on a hilltop near Tulip Elkhill (where I stayed a few years back). The approach road to Windsor Heights is somewhat challenging, with some broken stretches, but it’s manageable. The hotel itself is well constructed—I really wonder how they managed to build it on a hilltop.The property offers a very good mountain view and has a serene atmosphere. I was allotted a room on the third floor, which was fine for a two-day stay.Now, coming to the drawbacks: the food at the restaurant is not good. The complimentary breakfast feels like an experiment on your taste buds. The food has an oily taste (I’m not sure what oil they use—possibly groundnut oil with a pungent flavor), and this unpleasant taste is noticeable in most dishes.Leaving aside the food, the major issue I faced was with the water supply. The water stopped at around 10:30 PM. We had just returned after dinner and found there was no water. I immediately called the manager at reception, and he assured me it would be restored in a few minutes. I’m not sure when it came back—I fell asleep—but when I checked at midnight, it was available.However, the issue didn’t end there. The next morning, during checkout time, after having food at the restaurant, I returned to the room and again found there was no water. I had no choice but to use a 5-liter Bisleri can.This is something I had to share. Overall, everything else is fine—the location is good, and the manager and staff were helpful. However, the hotel needs to seriously improve its food quality and address the water supply issues, as such interruptions are not acceptable.
