Outstanding service, top-notch hospitality, and delicious food. Be sure to take the shikara ride on Dal Lake. Really enjoyed the location.

Our stay on this charming houseboat was delightful. The rooms were tidy and cozy, the scenery was amazing, the staff were kind, and the atmosphere was very calm—except for the occasional visits from vendors! Our trip began with a shikara ride from a well-organized and thankfully uncrowded spot, making for a pleasant start. The houseboat was beautifully made of wood with a traditional Kashmiri style. We received a warm welcome with Kashmiri kahwa and homemade cookies, which was a nice gesture. We were also upgraded to the Maharaja Suite, which was stunning and made our stay even more memorable. Special thanks to Reyaz Bhai for being so welcoming and helpful throughout. Be ready for vendors who come by shikara now and then to sell their goods; it’s part of the Dal Lake experience but can sometimes feel a bit much. It's wise to have some cash for tipping. The vendors also showed us their carpet-making business and took us to their warehouse. Although it was interesting to see the carpet-making process, this part felt a bit awkward since it was our last day and we had finished shopping, so we weren’t looking to buy anything. The balcony view is absolutely captivating and one of the best parts of staying on the houseboat. Just note that once inside the room, there isn’t really a view of the lake.

The location was wonderful, very calm and tranquil. The hospitality was outstanding, making us feel right at home. The houseboats are intricately handmade, offering a perfect blend of traditional style and modern comforts.

Our stay at Welcome Heritage Houseboat in Srinagar was fantastic. The rooms were extremely spacious, and our lake-view room was particularly stunning. Waking up to the sight of the lake was truly delightful. Farooq and Mudassar were excellent hosts who took great care of us, providing exceptional hospitality that made us feel very comfortable throughout our visit. The food was delicious, and the kitchen staff, though I can't recall their names, were very kind and helpful and deserve special recognition. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The large rooms, gorgeous lake views, tasty meals, and above all, the warm hospitality made our stay unforgettable. I highly recommend Welcome Heritage Houseboat for a wonderful stay in Srinagar!

The hosts, particularly Farooq, were wonderful. The food reminded me of home, and everyone was incredibly helpful and kind. The stay was very peaceful.
