This is one of a kind experience at the itc gurkha houseboat. It was a luxury experience. We booked a royal suite. The room was a big size room with dressing and a large and clean washroom.The houseboat was very clean and had all the amenities one could needOnly 1 drawback is in winters the floor is very cold because of the water. Despite having heaters the floor was extremely cold .Summers would be a good time to stay in a houseboat.Ashraf bhai and Riyaaz bhai were the best hosts.

We had a great time at this hotel as our first stop in Kashmir. It’s got a lovely view of the lake. Fantastic service, and the food was very homely, hot and wholesome. Access to the hotel is via a 10 min boat ride (that’s a part of the deal), makes for a fun way to reach the hotel. The hotel also has an affiliated store nearby, which they offer to take you to - we found the quality of the goods (shawls and pherans) to be amongst the better ones on our trip.

Had an incredible stay at WelcomHeritage Gurkha Houseboats Number 4’’ . Manager Tanveer was so cooperative, friendly and taking care of requirements. Chacha and Mashkoor was so caring for everything. Felt like home, thanks to the warm staff & top-notch amenities. Wooden carving & detailing was impressive (Architect here, appreciated the craftsmanship!). Cleanliness & hygiene were top-notch, and the heated AC was a lifesaver on chilly nights! ’’ Can't wait to return!
