Windermere Hotel

One of the nicest hotels in the city. The staff was polite and always helpful. The food was much better than I had expected. The complimentary breakfast buffet was lavish with 20 items each time. We stayed for 4 days and had no complaints. The in-house restaurant was perhaps one of the best restaurant in Shillong. The food always delicious and filling. The property is a bit further from the city. But that was one of the reasons why we decided on this hotel. We were unable to visit the heated swimming pool. I’m planning to come here again soon.

Windermere Shillong is a wonderful property located in the hustling, bustling hilltop city of Shillong. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped with wall-mounted heaters, making the stay cozy and pleasant. The entire property is clean, well-maintained, and has a peaceful charm.The restaurant offers a nice view, and the food is tasty and satisfying. Service is excellent, with the staff being attentive and courteous. A special mention to Mr. Steve for his helpful, prompt, and thoughtful service throughout our stay.Overall, it was a very good experience, and I would happily recommend Windermere Shillong to anyone visiting the city.

Everything is fine. Rooms are clean. Reasonably large property with serene and good views. Courteous and helpful staff. Food menu and buffet breakfast can be improved. Location is little tricky. Takes almost 30 mins to reach the city Center by taxi. Nothing much outside the property so plan to get everything that you need before sunset. However I plan to stay again next time to stay away from city hustle bustle

Stunning property! We found it by chance thanks to our driver when we had some last minute changes in our itinerary. Rooms are great and spacious, food is good quality, service is very nice and fast and you get some amazing views because of their location. I wish we had more days to really enjoy this property and it also seems like a great spot for hosting weddings we saw the prep for one during our stay and it was stunning! We only encountered one issue which was that lifts were not working which was a challenge with old parents but besides that we didn’t have any issue and would highly recommend staying and enjoying this property when you are in Shillong.
