Windermere Hotel

I stayed in this Hotel for 2D/2N along with my wife and 2 young kids. My family and I enjoyed a lot. They have swimming pool, games room, good garden area, good ambience, good food, clean rooms, professional staff and everything was great. We had an issue in the restaurant with food but that's alright, maybe it was a one-off incident (we found a plastic cable in 'Naan', we reported it to the manager, and he apologized and we also let it go. Location is okay if you have your own vehicle. If you don't have any vehicle, you can take help from the hotel staff or the security at the gate who can call cabs-on-hire.

This place is always booked full, the rooms are really expensive, but then ... it's coz the best quality rooms and food is available here. Service is polite and good. Rooms are equal to any big brand 5 star hotel level. Indoor heated pool. Good buffet. Lift ,even though there's just two floors. A really clean children's park. Picnic park. Bicycle riding. Spa. Huge parking space. Whatever ,whatever...They have everything including peaceful and quiet setup too. I would not recommend for noisy and litter-throwing groups with no civic sense. Please don't come here and spoil the vibessss’?

We stayed here for 3 nights and throughly enjoyed our stay. The view from our room was awesome, specially when it use to rain.The resort is beautifully maintained and is very clean. The staff are very good and serve with a smile. I would like to particularly mention Ms Baia at the Reception who was very helpful.The quality of the food was also very good and we got a very good variety. My suggestion is to slowly introduce Khasi food in the menu so that the guests can appreciate its simplicity and taste.Since water bottles are provided to guests, please find an alternative arrangement to avoid using single use bottles.Would definitely recommend this resort.

Resort in a beautiful location. Rooms were ok-ish. They gave us a room with balcony, but unfortunately there was no good view from there. All we could see was some roof covered with sheets, it would be good if there was no balcony at all!! Buffet spread is very limited. Swimming pool is very well maintained. Kids play area is also good. My son thoroughly enjoyed swimming and playing in the play area. Staff is amazing and their services are excellent, will definitely visit again !! One improvement is they can give us right directions to the resort . By default the directions given in the booking email takes us to Windermere hotel. Even though it's in the same campus it's a bit frustrating when you unload all the luggage and then get to know that you have to go to the other side of the property (by vehicle).
