My stay at Hotel Highwind in Shillong was quite disappointing. The room was in bad shape and failed to meet even the most basic standards of cleanliness and comfort. The bed linens and blankets were not clean. The bathroom was dirty, badly maintained, and unhygienic. What shocked me the most was that the building also seemed to operate as a skin clinic or nursing home, with the clinic running on other floors. This made the stay very uncomfortable and was not what I expected from a hotel. Overall, the property was poorly kept and misleading in its presentation. The front photo shown for the hotel is actually of a hospital. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone seeking a clean, comfortable, and professional hotel experience.

They tried maintaining the Hotel with connect to nature and peace.. love the stay and recommendations for families or couples stay . Need to improve more qualities in fooding

Last week, my husband, our two kids, and I stayed at this hotel, booking two rooms. Initially, there was confusion because I reserved a deluxe and a super deluxe room separately, and the woman at reception was quite rude during the first five minutes. Upon entering the bedroom, the bedsheets hadn't been changed and were stained with hair and food marks. The bed throw was covered with leftover food from previous guests. When I mentioned this to the staff, she said that was normal for bedsheets and how they should be. Later, when she remade the bed, she put the blanket down first and the bedsheet on top, which I had to correct, explaining my experience running a homestay for 10 years and understanding hospitality. The bathroom was in terrible condition, and the fan in the kids' room was extremely noisy, like a helicopter. Breakfast options were very limited, mostly fried and oily foods. They also never refunded me the difference they owed for the room. There was a constant bad smell from the staircase, and the alley wasn't cleaned or vacuumed for two days, covered with hair and food from other guests. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel, especially with family.

Hotel is good in budget but some washroom is litlle bit dirty but over all is good in this prices
