Wyndham Garden Udaipur Bhuwana

We spent two nights at Wyndham Garden and had a luxurious experience. From the staff and management to the food and ambiance, everything was excellent. The only improvement would be to allow two-wheeler parking inside the resort rather than outside. That's why I rated it 4 stars. Renting a two-wheeler in Udaipur is more practical than a four-wheeler due to the narrow streets. Special thanks to their watchman, Mr. Durjan Singh Ji, who was very helpful to us.

I don't usually write such detailed negative feedback, but I believe this experience should be shared, especially for families planning a peaceful leisure stay here. To start with the positives: the property is nice, the room quality was good, the swimming pool was enjoyable, and the food was tasty. Sadly, our interaction with the staff and how our room issue was handled was very disappointing. I had booked a Fateh Room, one of the higher categories, with a simple need: a good balcony where I could relax quietly with my family and enjoy the view. This trip was special for us. It was my wife's first leisure trip in nearly a year after her pregnancy, we were celebrating her birthday on September 14, our younger daughter's 3-month milestone and first trip, and spending quality time with our older daughter. So the balcony and a peaceful room experience really mattered to me. At check-in around 2 PM, I went straight to the balcony without checking the bed or bathroom first. The staff knew from the start how important this was to me. Unfortunately, we were assigned room 215 instead of 214, which was directly affected by noise from the hotel's kitchen/service area behind it. There was constant loud noise from what seemed to be the tandoor/kitchen and its chimney/exhaust system. Sitting quietly on the balcony—the main reason I booked this room category—was not enjoyable. I complained immediately at check-in. A staff member, I believe named Anuj, assured me multiple times that the noise would stop within 5–10 minutes. I even asked him to confirm this with the kitchen or manager. He confidently said he had worked there long and it would stop. So I trusted his assurance and stayed. We went to the pool and returned around 5:30 PM. The noise was still there. I contacted reception again. We waited. I spoke to other staff. More time passed. By around 7:30 PM, the noise issue I reported at 2 PM was still unresolved. What annoyed me more was that whenever I asked for another suitable room, I was repeatedly told: "Sir, we are fully booked." They showed me some other rooms, but those were even less suitable than what I had booked and requested. What frustrated me most was what happened later. After all this effort, they finally gave us a much better room—with a better balcony, better view, and more suitable for our family. So my simple question is: why wasn't this option properly considered when I raised the issue at 2 PM? One important tip for future guests: if a peaceful balcony is important, I would personally avoid Rooms 214 and 215. During our stay, there was significant noise from the kitchen/tandoor/chimney area behind these rooms. Please check the balcony and noise level before accepting the room. Overall, good property, good rooms, nice pool, and good food—but the service experience was very disappointing. We came to celebrate important family moments and spend quality time together. Instead, much of our first day was spent repeatedly following up to get a room where we could simply sit quietly on the balcony. A premium property should not make a guest struggle for hours to resolve a clearly communicated concern from check-in.

A resort you definitely have to visit

Our time at Wyndham Garden Udaipur was truly delightful. Right from our arrival, the warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel sincerely welcomed. We were offered a refreshing welcome drink before being shown to our Jharokha Suite. The suite was roomy and elegantly decorated, featuring a private jharokha and jacuzzi. What made it even more memorable was the special welcome arrangement prepared for us — the bed was adorned with lamps and flowers, a handwritten note awaited us, along with cookies and sweets. These thoughtful touches really set a wonderful tone for our stay. The Jharokha Suite is especially charming for couples, with a private jacuzzi overlooking the valley and mountains, which was one of my favorite features. The arched windows with traditional lattice work provided privacy while allowing us to enjoy the stunning view from the jacuzzi, adding a regal ambiance. The entire resort reflects Rajasthani culture, with corridors and passages showcasing beautifully hand-painted ceilings with golden accents, balconies, jharokhas, and seating areas overlooking the central courtyard. Everywhere you look, the property exudes traditional elegance. In the evenings, we enjoyed traditional Rajasthani music and dance performances in the central courtyard. The stage, surrounded by water and beautifully illuminated at night, created a magical atmosphere. What I loved most was how engaging the performers were — they interacted with guests, dedicated songs, invited people to dance, and even involved us. I ended up dancing on stage with them, which was incredibly fun and one of my favorite memories from the trip.
