Dear Zostel Customer Support,I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my stay at Zostel Varanasi.The property has been facing a power outage for over 6 hours. While I understand that electricity failures can occur, the property advertises power backup as one of its amenities. However, during this outage, the backup is only operating the fans, while none of the electrical sockets are functional, making it impossible for guests to charge their mobile phones, laptops, power banks, or other essential devices.This falls far short of the reasonable expectations created by the advertised power backup facility. Despite repeatedly bringing this issue to the attention of the help desk, I have received only explanations without any practical solution, alternative accommodation, or a clear timeline for restoring full functionality.As a paying guest, I booked this property relying on the amenities advertised by Zostel. The inability to use basic electrical outlets for an extended period has caused significant inconvenience and constitutes a deficiency in the service provided.I therefore request that Zostel:Immediately restore normal electricity supply or provide an effective power backup that includes functioning charging sockets.If this is not possible, provide suitable alternative accommodation at no additional cost.Offer an appropriate refund or compensation for the inconvenience and the failure to provide the advertised amenities.Provide a written response explaining the reason for this failure and the steps being taken to resolve it.f this matter is not resolved promptly, I will escalate the issue by filing a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline and, if necessary, the Consumer Commission for deficiency in service and misleading representation of amenities under the Consumer Protection Act.I have preserved my booking confirmation, payment details, photographs/videos showing the non-functional sockets, and records of my communications with the help desk. These will be submitted as evidence if required.I expect your prompt response and an immediate resolution.Sincerely,
