the room was changed 3 times with no ac, mosquitoes and then the breakfast was supposed to be included through Agoda voucher it was not there and 350 breakfast we ended paying 500 each . the room of 2800 also costed 4000 with terrible experience

Solo Traveller • Jul 2026My stay at AB Clarks Inn, Jalandhar was very disappointing. Despite being advertised as a 4-star hotel, the experience was below even basic hospitality expectations. The air conditioning was faulty, and frequent power outages made things worse, with no dependable backup power available. The food and service were poor, with long delays and low quality. The staff's behavior was troubling—they were rude, unprofessional, and lacked basic politeness. We were charged for a room we never used, even after reporting it to management. There was no bellboy to help with luggage, and several staff members asked for tips upfront, which was uncomfortable. Housekeeping was inadequate; washrooms were not cleaned well, and the overall hotel cleanliness was unacceptable. The hotel did not provide sealed drinking water bottles but served water in cheap plastic bottles, and clean drinking glasses were missing. The mattresses were old, dirty, smelled bad, and were very uncomfortable. I expected a comfortable and professional stay from a 4-star hotel, but this place failed in cleanliness, maintenance, hospitality, and customer service. I hope management addresses these issues seriously, as the current standards do not match the hotel's rating or price.
