The hotel was clean and accommodated our needs. It was a bit further away than I wanted from the Golden Temple, however a short auto-rickshaw drive was fine in the end.
We had a wonderful stay at Fairfield by Marriott Amritsar. We actually stayed here 7 years ago and decided to come back to the same place again this time, and I’m really glad we did.The biggest highlight for us was definitely the staff. Everyone was extremely helpful, kind and warm, and the hospitality felt very genuine. They were also so sweet and patient with our child, which made the whole stay much easier and more comfortable for us as a family.Special thanks to a few people who really stood out:Karanveer from the restaurant was always attentive, friendly and very thoughtful, especially when helping us during meals and making sure our child was comfortable too.Niharika at the front desk was warm, helpful and very responsive whenever we needed anything, and always made us feel welcomed when we passed by.Rohit, the manager, was very approachable and genuinely cared about our stay. You can really feel that he pays attention to the guests and makes an effort to make sure everything is going well.Shalu at the front desk was also very kind and helpful, always with a smile and happy to assist whenever we had questions or needed support.Breakfast was also really good, especially the “breakfast to order” menu. The kulcha was exceptional and honestly tasted exactly how I remembered it from 7 years ago. I was so happy that it was still just as tasty, I ended up having it every morning during our stay.The only downside for us was the room itself. There doesn’t seem to be much ventilation, so the room became quite humid, especially after showering, and you can really feel the moisture in the air.The bedsheets and duvet covers could also use an update. They feel quite rough and have started to develop those tiny fabric balls/pilling that happen after being used and washed many times, so they don’t feel as fresh or comfortable anymore.But overall, the staff really made the stay for us. Their kindness and hospitality are the main reason we remember this place so positively, even after 7 years, and we’re very happy we came back.
