I stayed at Golden Lotus Hotel in Amritsar from September 8 to September 15, 2026. The rooms were clean, but the hotel is way too expensive for what it provides. Around 1:30 AM, the power went out and stayed off for over 1.5 hours. The worst part was that there was no working generator or backup power. I tried calling reception several times with no response. When I went down myself, I found two staff members at the desk who couldn't give a proper explanation, just saying the generator was broken. Being without AC and lights for over an hour in summer was very uncomfortable. Also, there are no nearby dhabas or restaurants, so you have to rely on the hotel or online delivery. Cleanliness was acceptable, but management, service, and power backup were very poor. Definitely not worth the money. I had booked from September 8 to May 15, 2026, but I am leaving on the morning of September 10 because of these problems. Rating: 2/5.

Our stay at Hotel Golden Lotus Amritsar was fantastic and it genuinely felt like home for me and my family. Traveling with our young daughter, comfort and care were crucial for us. From the moment we arrived, the staff ensured she was content and comfortable. Their warmth and helpfulness made our stay completely stress-free. Special thanks to Kamal, who looked after us wonderfully. The staff were always available, courteous, and eager to assist. Thanks to them, we felt very welcomed and well cared for. The hotel is clean, tranquil, and well situated, but what truly sets it apart is the staff. They treat you with sincere care, not just as guests. Thank you, Golden Lotus Amritsar, for providing us with such a delightful family experience. We will definitely return.
