Solo Traveller • Aug 2026I had high hopes for Sarovar Premier Amritsar based on my earlier experiences at Sarovar Portico Dindi and Balaji Sarovar Solapur, but this hotel was quite disappointing. I reserved a balcony room via MakeMyTrip, yet upon arrival, I was assigned a room without a balcony. Although the reception eventually changed my room after I complained, this should have been checked before assigning it. I also asked for airport cab service and bed decoration through MakeMyTrip, but the hotel staff did not acknowledge these requests. The service was below what one expects from a star-rated hotel. Even simple things like towels required multiple calls to reception before they arrived. There was ongoing water leakage in the bathroom, and despite reporting it several times, the only response was placing a foot mat after repeated reminders. The breakfast buffet was good, and the food quality was acceptable. However, room service was very slow, with meals taking about 45 minutes to arrive. Overall, although the food quality was okay, the poor service, neglect of guest requests, and slow staff response made our stay unpleasant. I hope management considers this feedback and works to improve guest experience.
