Amar Tree Express Hotel

I stayed at the Amar Tree Executive Hotel in Lake Town, Kolkata, in the last week of June 2026. The stay was comfortable and relaxing. The food was tasty and of good quality. Service was quick and efficient at all times. The staff were very polite, well-mannered, and helpful. Overall, it was a pleasant and cozy experience with excellent hospitality. I highly recommend it!

Hi, I often stay at this hotel and overall it's good, but I don't think they value regular guests. Every time I check in, I have to negotiate the rate I usually get, and I have to explain myself repeatedly. The response is always that management has changed and they can't offer the same rate. I stay at many hotels nearby and choose based on comfort. On 10.04.26, I called to book a stay and was told they'd get back to me after checking with the GM, but I never heard back. I will find another hotel and no longer stay here.

Mediocre

The rooms were well-maintained but the staff's attitude was terrible. After driving 1100kms, the reception demanded payment immediately instead of letting us relax in the room. They were very inflexible during negotiations. Considering the location, the hotel rates are quite expensive. They also charged extra for an additional bed in the room. Furthermore, there was no room service available in the morning.
