DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY ’ NOT THROUGH TREEBO, NOT DIRECTLY!I’m writing this so others don’t go through what we did.I stayed at Treebo Radhe Palace, Kolkata, for 4 days, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, not just because of the hotel, but because of Treebo’s complete lack of accountability.From the moment we checked in, things were wrong.Check-in itself was a mess.We were shown multiple rooms one after another because each had some issue. The reception staff has no manners to talk to a guest. He's downright commanding me to adjust in one last room that he will show but will not change the room later since I had asked him to change the room on the next day when it is available since all their rooms were either not cleaned properly or had major security issues. Please do not be fooled these rooms are not what it looks like in the pictures here on the internet or if they are purposely trying to see if we will adjust in these rooms. After wasting a lot of time, we were forced to ’adjust’ and accept a room that was just about okay. And full payment was asked to be paid at c/in.The biggest issue? NO HOT WATER!Treebo clearly advertises 24/7 hot water, but:The geyser worked for less than a minute and then shut offThe issue was reported multiple times to hotel staff and receptionA technician came and checkedThe hotel maintenance team openly admitted it was their faultThey also admitted the issue could NOT be resolvedThis admission happened in front of hotel staff.We were literally told to ’adjust’.We couldn’t change hotels because:The location mattered due to workTreebo could NOT offer an alternative property anywhere closeWhen this issue was escalated to Treebo, we were told: ’’ ’You will be compensated.’That compensation never happened.After checkout, when I tried following up:Treebo claimed they had ’called multiple times’I was in Kolkata for work and couldn’t sit on calls all dayWhen I tried calling back, the number wouldn’t connectThey didn’t reach out again eitherOnce I was back home and contacted them again, the experience became worse:The representative was rude and dismissiveClaimed there was no issue at allSuddenly asked for a video proof, which was NEVER asked for while we were at the propertyCompletely ignored the fact that their own technician admitted the faultTo make it worse, after collecting the full amount for 4 days, the hotel told Treebo that there was no issue, directly contradicting what they had told us in person.So to summarise:No hot water despite promisesPoor check-in experienceMaintenance admitted fault but did nothingForced to adjustTreebo promised compensation and backed outRude customer supportZero accountabilityMy honest advice:’ Do NOT book this property’ Do NOT trust Treebo’s promises ( was booking with Treebo for years and wasn't expecting this. Treebo Lost a valuable customer.’ Do NOT expect support once payment is done.Save your money, your time and your peace of mind.This review is being posted so others can make an informed decision, something Treebo clearly failed to help with.
